Hi,
I'm having trouble understanding the following hand history discussion.
Hero: Flop:
$65 is in the pot. Hero bets $30, and villain raises to $90.
The discussion says hero is getting 2-to-1 odds, and its 4-to-1 against him advancing on the turn.
Pot Odds. My math shows there's $185 in the pot, and hero needs to bet $60 to call. Isn't that a 3-to-1 bet ($60/$185)? Or, a ~25% pot odds? I don't see the 2-to-1.
Outs. I'm guessing the 4-to-1 on the outs is a bit of rounding. 8 outs to a straight (either a 4 or an 8) multiplied by ~2 = ~16%.
(This is in the book Advanced Concepts in No-Limit Hold'em page 206-207.)
