What does it say about me that I'm cashing 7.5 out of 10 Head's Up, but only 1.5 out of 10 8 or 10 handed?

Am I too aggressive? Am I more lucky HU? Am I less lucky vs many?

i was about to say start registering for heads up sit n go's all day long.

or try for some small shootouts that are 3 or 4 max when they come around.

the odds are a lot different between full tables and heads up... 10 max, 9 max, 8 max, 6 max all have different ranges that you should be working with.. with the biggest ranges being heads up.

everything that is played heads up is blind vs blind, where all the craziness can happen. maybe try a large ante game sometime, too?

You need to tighten your opening ranges in a full-ring table. Plus sample size is really important for HU games to say that you are a better player.

Same here. Everyone has his specialty. Others specialize in cash games, others in tournaments, others in heads up. But I really think Heads Up you can still win if you just play bad. You can win by shoving with just pocket threes. In a tournament you may do that trick once and double your stack, but in the next same shove you will be out.

I would actually suggest you trying to go for full-ring games to train discipline and play from position more. Then, once you are a solid winning player at a given stake of FR tables, go to 6-max and expand your range. Repeat, and then go to HU. I feel that going from more players per table to only 2 provides a better understanding at certain aspects of the game.

Though, if you are a winning player at HU, keep playing that. All I am advising on is to expand your understanding and ability. ;) Good luck!
