If you are spending funds that you shouldn't be gambling and you can't stop yourself, you are probably addicted.

Poker might be addictive, when you deny an addiction, is it the first sign that you might be addicted?
may be some psychologists even say but if you do well what others think are just the other rs

As strange as it may sound, I was addicted only when I was losing money at poker. Since I begun to make some money, that is, playing properly, I was no longer addicted. Maybe because playing properly is not so exciting.
But if need to choose, I prefer making some money and not taking unnecessary risks. That is far less exciting, requires patience, but at least I am not losing in the long run :)

No. Personally I derive pleasure from a game. It that if I do not play, I somehow feel bad is absent. I think there are also such people who without a game cannot live.

For a very long time I have been convincing myself that I do not depend on the game online. I was looking for excuses in losing the whole bankroll in a bad mood. Still it was much easier. I suffer dependence, and loss and mood are a consequence of the fact that I do not know how to cope with my emotions.

I know one part of being addicted is not being able to admit you have a problem. I enjoy playing in my spare time and do try to make extra money while playing. I have a great social life and enjoy many things outside of poker. From the outside it looks like most poker players are addicted but personally I do not feel like I am addicted. Addiction for me means you spend all your time as well as all money to play.

Wow. I was years away of poker. But now I'm back. A little afraid to be addicted too. Any advice to avoid it?

I would not use that word addicted to poker but I would like to have more time to play it and learn from day to day. because I work during the day and I arrive at night, which is when I have the opportunity to play. This has its ups and downs and you have to be relaxed and stress-free

I am addicted to learning poker for sure but I am playing Freeroll only until I am confident enough to play with my money. I started off playing with a little bit of my own money to see how things went and I lost most of it so I decided to really dive into the online poker world. To study and learn as much as I could to improve before I used my own money again. Things are going well. I learn new things constantly. I think the word addicted means you have no control over your poker playing. Addiction implies a problem. I am a libra and we are all about balance in life. Everything comes down to balance in some way or another if you think about it. The way I see it is if you can control your poker playing then you are not addicted. If you can’t control your poker playing then you are in trouble. What I mean by that is if you are neglecting your family, work, financial responsibilities because of poker then you have no balance therefore you have a problem. If you are dedicated to poker and manage your bankroll well and still have a social life and a good work ethic then everything is in balance so you are good. If you really love poker and are good at it and want more time doing it then work hard to do it for a living. Whatever you want out of poker just make sure you are in the drivers seat. Recognize if you are wasting too much money and stop and learn more so that you improve and win more. Just remember that too much or too little of something usually isn’t a good thing.

the difference between the good player and the addict is how you take the losses and whether you lose control when it happens

is a delicate issue but I think that one is addicted when he has the nesecidad to play wildly and not to abide by the norms of the sessions like the time of game in cash game, to leave your bank or other
