Didn't want to ruin the other threads just in case people didn't want to hear about spoilers.. so, made this one for those who want to talk about the tournament that's going on now.

Shulman has lost half his stack before the first break.... coaching from Hellmuth a bad idea? He was doing well without his help before the final table, imo.

EDIT: Nevermind, for some reason I was thinking he started with 29 million.. he actually started with 19 million. Too early to say how the coaching has done him.

Akenhead looks like he'll be first to bust. He's sitting next to Ivey so would be great if he passes him his chips. Seems like Akenhead has been card dead, and is currently just over 10 big blinds with the first break about to wrap up.

Very insane moment early when Ivey shoved all in. Seem like time stopped as a call was contemplated. Will be interesting to see that hand on TV.

Everybody Can Breathe Again
During the hand where Phil Ivey moved all in, the entire press box went absolutely silent. It was as if the whole poker community was collectively holding their breath. It was not so much that Ivey moved in over Shulman's raise, the anxiety was caused by Joe Cada going deep into the think tank. Cada clearly had a rather strong hand to be considering a call. When he folded, Shulman could not have flicked his cards into the muck fast enough.

The press box began breathing again following the hand.

sick triple up. That one will make the highlight reel.

Helmuth sounded like he was going to jump out of his chair.

ya it was a really strange play. The way he's been catching cards everyone thought the 5 was coming on the river.

What a strange play, gives even more credit to the fact that he was probably just running real good up to the final table. :/

Maybe he thought he had AA? ... A4 is easy to mistake for it sometimes

ya they took I think a 20 min break cuz the blinds are going up and they're changing the chips. They run the same commercial over and over during the break for some reason. :(

...and over... and over... and over... and over.........

How about some nice elevator music and a blank screen for awhile? Sheesh!

Horrendous play by Darvin. You rarely see a hand played so badly at this level as that. I almost never see play that bad in $50 buyin tournaments in the casino.
What the heck was he thinking?
Saout was just risking his entire stack on a crazy bluff.
Saout was pot committed. He was obviously going to call.
The best Darvin could really hope for was a coin flip if he held exactly Q10, which is hardly likely.

Schaeffels 17 million all-in again. preflop vs Buchman 32 million.

AA's over KK's AGAIN.

Schaeffel has AA's again, Buchman with KK's.

K in the window. K on the turn.

Schaeffel busts with AA's in 8th!

Buchman has to be a favorite now.

Wow... Buchman just eliminated Schaffel... His KK cracked AA with a K-Q-J flop, and then another K on the turn!
