Hello mlyons it appears that you have not posted on our forums in several weeks, why not take a few moments to ask a question, help provide a solution or just engage in a conversation with another member in any one of our forums?

What to do when you're outta bubblegum?

KICK ASS!!!!

2+2 = 4, call it quits, just apologize, fullhouse beats flush

I've been busy with poker, household chores, the kid, and Christmas planning and shopping.

My poker is getting a bit better, though not as well as I'd like. More patience and a bit more aggression, as well as slow playing the hands I can. Making it farther in tournaments and having problems with big stacks shoving post flop against my top pair, which is a K, Q, J maybe. nearly every time. I guess I need to loosen up and call a few made hands prior to having all my chips stolen, just worried about donking out too early. I don't know which is worse. I am sometimes too aggressive in late stages so I'm practicing tighter strategies, and maybe I'm just too far toward the other extreme?

Sometimes when I'm so engaged in Poker tournaments and freeroll whoring, ring games, I neglect the house and other necessities. Dishes pile up for 3 days, every piece of laundry needs washing and before I know it I've spend 50 bucks on pizza and fast food. Just making effort to keep up on these things. This forum will also keep me busy for hours...

As for Christmas shopping, well I started saving money and presents in July, and made a commitment to be done shopping early, and well, I just might be. I need to drag everything out, see whats there, wrap them and maybe pick up one or two more things, but other than that, I am all set and it feels great!

I'm glad I noticed that message today, I miss cardschat and I'll be freerolling later.

C ya!

anyone there?

maybe I posted this in the wrong thread. maybe everyones gone. maybe no one likes me.

I'm tellin ya though tight aggressive has been working well for me and i'm doing much better in earlier stages of tournaments.
Actually no thats a lie, i've been playing a mixture of tight aggressive and loose aggressive.

The important thing is the ability and discipline to get out of a hand when necessary and switch styles according to the hands, position, and other players at your table.

I found a poker bot at a lowstakes ring game yesterday and we cleaned him outta 20 bucks in 15 minutes and that was awesome. My boyfriend noticed it was a bot set on aggressive after watching him for a few and playing against him with a premium hand. next I called or raised him with a pot bet every time i had two face cards and I took a nice piece of him myself.
We spotted him sitting at a 5/10 nl game with 20$ and asked him if he'd been stealing blinds alnight as he bet .40 every time. someone told me he was stealing and getting lucky. no replies to chat was another key, however, many live people including myself do that also, so no biggie.
I thought it was pretty cool, however, must be careful, don't call marginal hands. my boyfriend mentioned that those robots will calculate odds, so a reraise to potsize messes up pot odds and either steals from him or gets him to bet large

I knew it was a bot (or my boyfriend noticed it) when he consistently quadrupled the pot, and I tried goading him a bit and no reply, consistent bets, no answer from repeated messages in chat. A few others commented on him, tried engaging him in chat and still no reply.

My boyfriend had checked out some bots to see what they did and were about, that they calculate pot odds. He also told me that a pot sized bet messes up the pot odds, so if I played one hand, a good hand, as aggressively if not more, I'd likely find out.

The first time I made a pot bet he folded, the second he reraised my reraise preflop and I just drew about 4 bucks from him. He was holding a 10Qoffsuit. Then I told the table and those that caught on stole the rest of his chips.
