What do you think about the book "Moorman's book of poker"? Because I think about purchasing it.

You can not go wrong with any of David Sklansky's books, in my opinion

Kill Everyone (along with Kill Phil and The Raiser's Edge) has still merit although it was published almost 10 years ago. Mental Game of Poker I and II are also good learining material from psychological viewpoint.

Not so many good books that are still mostly relevant around, really.

Lot of the book strategies actually get used against players by the more advanced player that recognizes what you are trying to do. If that is what you are looking for its not a bad idea to read up but realize other people have read the same books.
Poker math books and strategies are great to know but the ones that tell you to get aggressive in certain spots are time wasters.

I think it is difficult to say which is the best book, there are many of which can be learned, great variety, I think the knowledge will be broader reading many and not looking for the best, have several entries in the mind, consult and so go Applying the good that can be extracted from each one, but to say which is the best book I think would be impossible since each one will have their opinion based on what I take from what read there

For my opinion a must book is the "theory of poker" it's completely maths and it you will find out that poker it's not only outs. Negreanu's boom also offers some very good post flop strategies.

I strongly believe, if you play more than $300 per month in tournaments and cash, that the best option is to pay about $200 for 2-3 coaching sessions. To review your hands and tell you 2-3 leaks you might have..

I know because of his personality people don't like Phil Hellmuth, but he does win and his book Play Poker Like the Pros is pretty good. Also Essential Poker Math by Alton Hardin.

Well first off thanks for asking the question this made me go to my book case and grab the book I have been wanting to read for awhile.

No doubt that Doyles super system is a great read and you can't go wrong starting there: But I also like David Sklansky
I read theory of poker but he has a number of books on holdem and gambling in general. I wouldn't concern myself with the "best" book as much as a handful of quality books that approach poker from various perspectives
