I don't personally use it, it takes away from the fun of what poker should be, plus sometimes you have to go on insinct.

i dont use this stuff either, i like to sit back and get a feel for how people are playing, watching their style of play, helps more keeping those skills keen for when you play at the casino cuz obviously you dont have software analyzing the players there...i also just enjoy the thrill of the hunt in trying to figure out how people play haha

I used a program to help me with pot odds and win odds when I first started playing, but in hindsight I think it slowed my game down. It made me lazy in not learning how to correctly calculate odds, and now I find that I can do it just as quickly in my head.

I do however use Holdem Indicator once in a while to keep track of how players are betting when I'm multi-tabling. It helps to give you an idea but isn't a huge advantage. I'm probably going to shop around for something else to keep better track of my own play rather than my opponents.

I don't know how I would live without PokerTracker, I guess if I was playing 1 table at a time it would be tough but there is no way I could ever do 9 at a time without it.

If you are not using Pokeracehud, you're simply losing money.

Is it really that helpful? I'm thinking about investing in Poker Tracker and AceHud but I'm not sure it'll give me that much of a boost

Ask anyone who uses PAhud and im pretty sure they will all tell you that it helped their game A LOT. Its not as important/useful if you only play one table. But even if you play 2 tables, it will increase your winrate by a decent amount. Obviously the more tables you play the more useful it becomes.
So yes, if used correctly it will boost your game. Some of my decisions are based solely on a players stats.

Yeah, PAHud is great for ring games. I find it doesn't help much with SNGs, as there are so many casual players. But, it's nice to have the main stats of the ring regulars on your screen. I try not to dwell too much on it though, as any good player worth his salt can play against his norm when the situation demands. And just because a player plays 83% of the pots, doesn't mean he can't get dealt AA. :)

I'm in the "making money playing poker is fun" camp. And there are still decisions to be made with PAHUD, they just increase the information because your brain can't store every bit of information, especially multi-tabling.

I am relative new to poker and started using Holdem indicator a month ago.
I has not dramatically increased my win rate, it does however remind me that that a-6 or 3-3 is not that great hands, and it also at times saves me from doing some stupid bets by totally overlooking a possible strait or set.

I am afraid thogh that it hurts my game in the long run, being a noob i am more interessted in learning then winning at the moment.

I have used pokertracker but usually just at the start of a session to see who I'm playing against.
Once i start playing, i just observe the play, keep a few notes and go for the win. :D
