I honestly find it very confusing that nobody actually asked OP what he means by "bad".
There are so many mistakes you can make in this game and each mistake has it's unique exploit.
So when you think of yourself as the next Gus Hansen and you want to
bluff people off of hands...and they just don't fold, well, don't bluff, wait for a hand and take them to value town.
If you flopped a set and they called your potsize bet twice, you went all in on the river when the 3rd spade hit and they show you a flush...well, don't go all in, bet 1/2 pot and fold when they raise....a couple of BB saved.
Also, bad players DON'T INCREASE YOUR VARIANCE! They DECREASE variance. That's very important to understand.
Thing is, most people start to gamble against calling stations or maniacs although that's not necessary. Let's put it this way: When you know, that every set, str8, flush and boat you make is gonna be paid with a villains full stack, why would you call a shove with QQ or JJ??? Because it's supposed to be correct?? Bullshit.
If all it takes is two big hands to double or tripple my buy in, why would you even think about playing coinflips with QQ against his J9o? Just to tilt when he hits trips on the flop?
If you have a skill edge, play to maximise your skill edge. Take them to the flop, wait for a made hand and stack them. Do not gamble, do not bloat the pot. Play small pots untill you got the nuts and push once you got there. Against good players you need to gamble sometimes....but never against bad ones.
You can beat every game once you're good enough. If you lose against beginners, you're simply not good enough yourself.
And honestly, there's nothing better than a table full of aggro donks who splash and spew like there's no tomorrow.
