What do you think of the cash-out option during the ''all-ins'' in cash games ???
Do you like it ? Do you use it ?

So if you lost everything , you would have to rebuy at least 50 Bb , but by using cashout option (if you don't want to add more chips so as to continue playing full stack due to tilt problems , fear of next bad beats , mistakes you have already made , habit of not rebuying again for BRM reasons , etc ) you have one more chance to win some of the losses , or even some winnings without reinvesting $$$ !!! :)

I used this for the second time , I have to say I am falling in love with this option . I know about the chat debates that pokerrooms win more rake this way , also you have to be carefull when you use it ( I guess only if you have a feeling that you are behind in terms of odds/equity ??? ) , etc . I agree , but I still think it's a nice tool :)

So in a hand like this I would never use it :

etc

Ofcourse some more winnings or losses between or after these hands :)

I cashed out very little money , it's not about the little money ofcourse , but I played them with shoves , got my money back , plus a little profit , instead of losing everything !!!Not bad , especially if it's not for '''fun''stakes like the 2nl , but for higher or very high cash games buyins !!! imo :)

Reconsidering.....

My initial enthusiasm now is followed by scepticism , perhaps dissapointment ..... I was great favour in a hand on the flop , but because I saw the flush draw I slowplayed my made hand on th BU . The Bb who had first checked , after the HJ bet and my call he snap- shoved , ok he has a flush draw I thought , I have seen this movie so many times , I will lose , better cash out sth ..In the end he didn't get his flush card and I didn't get anything cause I cashed out my equity which was huge on the flopand not just sth/few $$$ as I thought at the beginning !!! . Even more no rake was calculated from me on the hand , also , rediculous , the other player who had the same (!!!) made hand won almost everything cause he didn't cash out , WTF ???
I made one more time this mistake , then I was angry with the cash out and started making mistakes and loose calls , and on another hand , where I knew I was behind and I should have used it , I didn't cash out , thinking that now all or nothing , and I got nothing , lol . So today the cash out was a catastrophe .

You really have to be carefull with this tool , use it only when you are behind (probably ???) for real in terms of odds , or else don't be afraid when you are in good shape on the flop/turn and you have good equity to go allin . I am going to study this cahsout option more before I use it again , read some internet articles/threads , see if I l have to learn anyhting more about it and the appropriate time to use it , so as this tool to be proved a usefull one and not a catastrophic one .

You should be properly bankrolled for the games, you play, and therefore having to rebuy should not be a problem. For me the only legit reason to use cash-out is to reduce variance, and I have sometimes done that. The last time was, when I got AK all in preflop against QQ, and I decided to take a small loss rather than flipping a coin for an entire 100BB stack.

Cash out option in cash games' ''all-ins''

I've just started using this cash out option, and I am getting to really like it. If I played horrible and take that cash out, then I have another opportunity of playing more and trying to build my stack up a little higher! This cash option is rather comforting to know that I can count on using it, when I am down.

Winning a 4% chance without using cashing out feels amazing.

Getting your Aces cracked after a preflop all-in feels crappy without cashing out.

I'm really not sure what's best in the wider case scenarios but I agree with 'Fundiver199' above that it's better used in coin flip situations, taking a small loss/gain and reducing variance.

I highly recommend not using the cash out feature. Stars ends up taking an additional 1% of the prizepool as rake and while this doesn't seem like a lot when done repeatedly it adds up very quick on top of already pretty high rake with little to no rakeback.

If you want to lower variance a little consider using run it twice, I don't think they charge additional rake but if you find yourself in a situation where you are constantly using run it twice to reduce variance you might just be playing too high. You shouldn't be overly uncomfortable losing a few stacks at the buy in level you choose to play. It's part of the game and how you make your money in the long run.

I think this is a very convenient way to sometimes deal with variance. The main thing is to choose the right moment.:)

Using cash out is just giving away ev! If you only cashed out once every 100 hands and the cash out only costs you 5bb, you've just lost 5bb/100, which is more than most players win.

You should be bankrolled enough to not care about winning or losing hands if you are getting allin as afavourite.

You should practice mental discipline to avoid worrying about losing a hand.

This makes sense if you made a mistake when placing and your chances of winning are less than 50%. In other cases, you just give your money to the room.

Over the long run it won't make any difference will it? You'll win whatever % you get it in with.
