Thanks for the heads up. I have been interested in finding a new site to play on in the U.S. other than Carbon poker, so if anyone has some good suggestions, it would be much appreciated. Had checked out one, but read the terms and conditions and it basically said players could not get money out.

depends on what you are looking for. what games are you trying to play? i play on intertops, its reliable and cash-outs are quick. only problem is US players need an invite to play. let me know if you interested. as for other sites, i think they have theyre perks. wpn, bovada have some interesting games as well just depends what you are looking for.

Doubt his invitation will work for you; only VIPs (mainly certain affiliates) can invite US players to Intertops, and it's not something they want advertised or discussed publicly. It's kinda hush-hush and a matter of knowing someone with connections.

I should have clarified: the software still lets any player send an invitation, but when the new account is created, you'll get an error saying your account creation can't be completed if the invitation didn't come from a VIP.

While I consider them the best US facing site in terms of software and service, unfortunately they're still having player liquidity issues (though it seems to be improving a little) thanks to Lock almost bankrupting the Cake/Revo network. They only share players with juicy stakes I believe, but have been saying for awhile that they would open things back up now that Lock is off the network. But I'm afraid the damage was done and irreversible. And since their main revenue stream isn't from poker, but rather sportsbetting and casino action, they don't seem to be in a huge hurry to fix the liquidity issues. Pity really, because it is my favorite poker site and where I have virtually all of my BR these days.

I liked JuicyStakes software and Locks before they went on their own, I tried Intertops a long time ago and I created an account then got an error "Sorry we are no longer accepting any new US players"

Which I was sad cause at the time I had a no deposit bonus for them lol

Ive never heard of Bovado... is that like Bovada:p

Americas Card Room now for me, since Bovada blocked NY
Question for you Carl, did you already have a Bovada account?
If you did you should have been grandfathered in - as they are not accepting "new" accounts to sign up from banned states if I am not mistaken.

The question is why is any state "banned" from Bovada? Why do they not accept NY players anymore?

Yea you have to get invited on intertops. You have to know someone that can give you an invite so you can join. They dont accept US players and are very strict with security which is good in that you know they are responsible not like lock. As far as everyone on lock i feel you... i still have money on there and will likely never see it again. sux. For me though I liked the layout so I just jumped ship well before lock started selling at next to nothing and just joined intertops. love it on there haha

Online play for US players?

Hi! I'm new to this site, so forgive me in advance if I post in the wrong forum. I began playing poker online about 10 years ago, of course, until Black Friday. I haven't played online much since then. I played at a few sites that never paid so I just gave up. Is there a good site for US players?

These four seems to be the best choice now.
I personally divided my bankroll 40% Bovada, 40% Carbon and 20% blackchip.

Wow! This thread is VERY misinformed. Here is a July 22nd, 2014 ACCURATE snapshot that you all should take a look at:

Winning Poker Network (ACR, BCP, True Poker, Ya, BetCoin (for MTTs)): Great site dedicated to keeping their players happy. Fast withdrawals (1 week), large promotions (cater towards high volume/stakes though), and high table caps (you can play on up to 49 tables). Traffic is currently 4th best for US-friendly poker rooms

Merge Network (Carbon, Sportsbook, PlayersOnly, SuperBook, + a few smaller, lesser known skins): Incredible software, good MTT schedule, good withdrawal times (24 days on AVG), decent promotions for micro/small stake players, and an online casino. However, Carbon has recently slashed their rewards program and table capped a handful of "winning" players (reasons unknown). 2nd in US-friendly traffic.

Chico Poker Network (BetOnline is by far the most popular): Mediocre software, a weak MTT schedule, good cash/SNG traffic. Your money is safe here (regardless of what you may have heard, they do in fact pay, and quickly). HOURLY freerolls are what bring in the fish that make this network so soft. 3rd in US-friendly traffic. Operates in all 50 states.

Independent (Bovada): Good software, fast withdrawal times, great MTT schedule, good online casino/sportsbook, and decent support. 1st in US-friendly traffic (3x more players than Carbon (#2)). Bovada has a 4 table cash game maximum, but also has "Zone" poker tables. You may play on as many MTT/SNG tables as you'd like though. No rewards whatsoever.

Equity Poker Network (Full Flush Poker is the most popular): See BetOnline....The two are fairly similar. Good cash game traffic, but no traffic elsewhere. Games are soft, but withdrawal minimum thresholds are high (as with BetOnline). 5th in US-friendly traffic.

*Not sure if this is allowed; will remove if necessary* - PM me if you'd like an honest recommendation on where to play based on your niche. Send me your a) state of residence and b) preferred game type (SNG, Cash, MTT, HU) and I will point you in the best direction.

No USA option is as great as PS, FTP, 888, Titan, etc. but to see this thread making an absolute mockery of the options we do have is absurd. It's not "that bad" haha

I usually play Full Flush and Carbon. Idk about lock poker and I also play Intertops. Though you have to have an existing account to play that since '12. I would give full flush and carbon and Americas Card Room a run personally.

What's the best US Poker Site

Just getting back into online poker after years (since full tilt), and lack the inside scoop of whats the best site for a player like me online. Some of the factors I'm looking for is overall Credibility of the site, Huge number of members, High Guaranteed Pool Tournaments, Consistent FreeRolls, and Easy Withdraw Format/Process.

Based on your criteria, bovada

extremely fast payment processing

reasonably large player pool

they run a number of tourney series' with qualifiers, main events etc.

the only cons (which are obvious)

would be primarily:

anonymous tables, 4 table max (this is made to cater to "recreational" players

Also, the rakeback is lame but they do usually run some good promotions that subsidize their "poker points"

I have used Bovada for 2 years and trust them more than the other sites that cater to american players

Last time I cashed out at at Bovada, I had a check at my doorstep in 2 days. I Just cashed out on Carbon, Took 3 weeks total to process and receive. I'm not speaking for everyone. This is just my RECENT experience.

If bovada is just not for you, try intertops. I agree with everyone, bovada is most dependable, but some people just hate the anonymous format.
I have not heard of any issues with Intertops cashouts-other than they are not free. These are really the only 2 sites I would consider a real money deposit, others are too new or just downright scandalous. Do your due diligence.
Hope you win a truckload of money(just not from me, please.)

Don't think Intertops is taking US players anymore, I may be wrong on that. Another site is Carbon wouldn't say it the best but for US there aren't may you can play on anymore.
