Day7: Played around 1800 hands today, mainly $50nl. Took another shot at $100nl for a small loss, with a little more luck I would have had my best ever cash day, at one point I was up well over $300. Can't complain though. GL.

I know you didnt want people restarting and such But I would like to as I moved my money over to Full Tilt. I hope this will be ok.

Day 0: 250 (100%)
Day 1: 333 (133.3%)
plaYED awful at the tourneys and didnt cash in any of the 5 or so I entered and then was doing awful in the cash games until I went literally on fire and finished +154 in cash games for the day. (the reason I lost alot in tourneys was due to me testing out a sitngo idea. I still am going to continue with it.)
I am playing 10 sitngos and seeing if i make any money. I played 4 and finished 9th,5th, 11th and 5th. (18man) We will see how the next 6 go.

Yes, that's alright. Can you give us some details on your SNG idea?

@Zach and Jagsti:
you guys know how Cheetah's graphing application works, right? You don't have to use it, I just wanted to make sure you know about it in case you'd like to post graphs.

Oh yeah Sure!!!
Well Its More Just to give me an idea of whether or not I am a profitable player in 18 man sitngos. I am Playing 10 11 dollar sitngo's and seeing how much money I either lose or win. I will figure out my ROI% and see what its like. I know the program sharkscope does that but I don't want to pay and i have lots of data on there and most of those are from when i used to play when i really sucked. I will let you guys know how it turns out. It will prolly be a waste of 110 bucks but I will wait and see.

Progress Update

Day 86: 132% ($2,646)
Day 87: 143% ($2,867)
Day 88: 170% ($3,405)

On my quest to 90,000 hands until February 29 I can take five days off if I play 3K hands per day.
Yesterday and today combined, I only played 2,800 hands, so the first free day is already used up. I really gotta get going now.

As far as gameplay goes, things are working out alright at the moment. I may have found a rather epic leak, but it's too early to tell.
I have a lot of data collected in Poker Office, so I should get a good idea within the next 10K-15K hands.

Yes, just figured I'd wait at least a few days before posting a graph just so it would have some meaning.

I'll attach my graphs, but the first 2 graphs actually are missing the last data point. Is this intentional?

I thought chris ferg got that $20k from only playing freerolls?

LOL no.... that would be impossible since the most you can win in a freeroll is like 25bucks. He built his starting bankroll from FreeRolls though. He then used this money to grind his way up to 20k.

No, it is not intentional. The scaling algorithm that comes with the software I use is very primitive and I don't have time to rewrite it.

Once you have a few more points, it should be OK.

Day8 Well look at link below for some of my horrendous play for last night. I wasn't even gonna play last night b/c I didn't get home from work until 11pm. Somehow I managed to only show a deficit of $40ish. I can't even remember when I've played as bad as that. Oh well there's always tomorrow. GL.

yea red is not my color and I hate it.....I am on one of the worst downswings I have ever had. Ill admit part of this is from playing almost strictly MTT's and just not doin well in most of them. Ring games Ive been stacked 5 times in the past few days and on day 4 I got stacked 3 times, doubled up, then lost it all KK vs AA. Took a break and am going back to strictly ring games since PT says im up 500$ somehow lol. But yea, ring games only and just takin some awful beats lately. If todays session (which will be nice and long since I had one class today and I have the flu so I got excused lol) is bad as well Im just gonna take a week or two break from poker. I need to find my problems, maybe post a few hands if they give me problems but really Im just losing to bad beats as crazy as it sounds.

Day9: I didn't get home till 11pm tonite. I finished work at 5pm then I had to get ready and I was straight out to watch the Footy, Everton v Tottenham. The game wasn't much ended 0-0. Anyways I thought I'd open Party up and datamine a few $100nl tables. I decided to play 2 of them and 100 hands later I called it a night. I really wish I could have carried on but I was too tired. In 100 hands I won 3 x buy ins :D. I will post some of the hand histories tomorrow as they make quite interesting reading. GL!

BTW Chris, cheers re the graphs, I'll wait a little longer before I use them.

Progress Update

Day 88: 170% ($3,405)
Day 89: 172% ($3,442)
Day 90: 186% ($3,720)

Alright, here's just a quick update. I haven't had time to play anywhere near as much as I wanted to, but I'm still adamant about reaching my goal of 90K hands by February 29.

My full ring game has been fairly successful so far. I'm playing 16/12/3 which is quite a bit looser than what most full ring nits play.
I'd like to loosen up a bit more still, and do more 3-betting as well as 4-betting. Most people fold to 4-bets because at NL200 full ring, nobody seems to 4-bet without KK or AA.
That's also the reason why I smooth call 3-bets with AA and KK a lot.

81,245 hands / 29 days to go

Lately during my poker experience i realize that I have not been patient enough to build my bankroll. I want everybody to be aware of not playing your best poker becasue it will soon bring you back to zero quick.

As promised I'm gonna post a hand from last nights session. I'd been up against this villain twice already during this session. He got me to fold a str8 on the river, with a 3 to a flush on the board and a pair. Now interestingly in the chat I asked him 'did you have a flush? I folded a straight' he didn't reply. I never normally do this but I was getting a fair bit of action from him and I wanted to try and get some info from him. I actually think this helped me with this next hand, he obv thinks he can get me to fold the river here, either that or he is just plain donkish. BTW this is a milestone hand for me as it's the biggest pot I've won in cash, over 200bb's deep.

Hey Excellent hand Jagsti,
but I just want to make a recommendation that i believe is very true. When Poker Gets personal it throws you off a player off his game alot. Many people will become too lose trying to take someone elses money, so be careful with this and make sure it doesn't affect your play. It obviously didn't on this play but make sure this always holds true when things get personal.

Thanx Heat. Yep it's easy to get drawn into little battles and let it affect your play.

Chris, well done m8 you seem to be on a liilte roll again, long may it continue.

Day10 - As for my last day of the month, well pretty crap tbh. Didnt really feel like playing but I did. Should have gone with my feelings. Cold decked all day, only played 1000 hands down $130ish.

I'm bad with percentages..so I'll just post dollar amounts

Day 1: Start: $112 End: 91

So far, no good. Only cause people make some odd calls at FT :p

We'll see what day 2 brings.

Jagsti..they seriously went all in preflop with 24d? ..wow..

Day 35 was just bad playing on my part. Rushed and tired. I took a two day break then (left out of chart) to regroup. Day 36 was a wash, but made Bronze in Iron Man. Had to give up on Silver because I missed playing too many days. Lost a little in ring on day 37 but made it up with third in the Ultimatebet CC buyin.

33 113.6%
34 113.6%
35 104.9%

day 0 (100%) 372.81
day 1 (80%) 290.05
day 2 (72%) 270.50
day 3 (64%) 240.50
day 4 (42%) 157.78
day 5 (37%) 138.54
day 6 (40%) 150.63

So I have played two days and really just gotten back to the bread and butter of my game. I stop trying to do anything fancy because I need to get my confidence back quick, its bad that in 6 sessions 370 just looks so far away at the moment.

So day 5 was another bad day of no finishes in 3 tournies which included the 50/50 (which I won a satellite into, only bright spot of that one lol). No ring games really, just didnt feel like it would be worth it.

Day 6 was a ring game day and as you can see looked good for my first time in this whole thread lol. Played solid poker, not a long session and make a decent bit back. For today I quickly tripled my 10 dollar buy in to the rings and am currently doin alright on the ones left.
