That kind of thinking doesn't make much sense, no offence. For example, the lottery pays upwards of 100's of millions, so with that line of thought he should just play the lottery. I would give the same advice to someone who has hit the lottery, and tell him to not play it anymore.
And I don't mean to burst any bubbles but "playing cards right" has little to do with winning big field tournaments in no-limit holdem, unfortunately. If you play at or below expectation long enough you'll realize how little control you have over your results.
Well, I am a small stakes tourney player only. Tourney poker is what I am good at (and trying to get better at) and I personally would never think of changing horses mid-stream.
Cash game poker requires membership in a totally different union and it would take a tourney player months and months to master it properly.
This post has been placed in the "Tournaments" thread and it is evident that you seem to think that creepst4r can't win another tourney especially when you state that he has won the lottery.
Whereas, I am saying that he can win a tourney again but should go easy on his
bankroll by dropping down a level and mainly play the weekly bigs with a few of his favourite bye-ins mixed in.
And I speak from tourney playing experience:
xx_deucem_xx ITM Finishes - Full Tilt
1st - 12
1st ties - 216
2nd - 20
3rd - 24
4th-10th - 203 and with Full Tilt starting again (Nov 7th Aussie time) creepst4r can have his pick of decent sized tourneys every day of the week.
