Whats your favourite type of tournament?

Mostly, I like MTT tournaments, but I also play very often
SnG tournaments for 90 or 180 players.

I like normal speed tournaments, I think you can play better here, the turbo tournaments, you quickly go to a push level, and luck happens to be the most important thing.

I play better the tournaments that are not turbo, so any tournament that is not turbo is fine for me, and sng omaha hi / lo of 18 players or 6 players hyper / turbo

I like rebuy+add-on tourneys with fast structures.
If there are no rebuys, I prefer slow structures with deep stacks.

Keeping on topic with this 8-year old thread, well I love the crap out of Bounty tournaments. It depends on my mood and what happened in the previous Bounty game I was in though. Then I get over myself and get into another one!

i never notice that. but i like to play fast. i make my decision pretty fast. i just dont like when blinds and antes goes up fast because than u in the end play with some really bad hands

I really like deepstack and longer blind levels because that gives you plenty of time to wait for good spots. I have a problem with fatigue though, so have to take frequent breaks.....not so good

Improving your physical health -exercising away from the tables- helps with this fatigue and loss of concentration issues.

What do you think about satellite tournaments? I've never been successful with them.


There are SWAP tournaments on pokerstars. They go really fast and there is usually a lot of action in them.

My favorie type of tournaments are freerolls with at least 10 minute per level because then i can make easy money

I prefer the slow tournaments where you can move, observe, manage without the blinds running, think the movements and show your best poker, there you can beat your opponents with your weapons, that's the key. In short I prefer a slow sunday storm that a hyper or a turbo tournament of 11 usd, that is more lottery than anything else.

I like 10$ to 20$ guarantees personally and or knockouts do to all the rebuy scab players.
