Become addicted to Omaha Hi/Lo lately. The game has so many variables to keep track of and hands can switch on a dime. It is hard to get into the slow nature of No Limit HE after a couple Omaha tournaments.
I mainly play the 9-max SNGs, $1.50s until I've the bankroll to play the $3.50s and so on. I don't like the one-table turbos as they're too much of a lottery, don't give me time to exercise what I've learnt through study. I also play some freeroll MTTs, mainly for practice as I want to play and win big ones one day, keeps the dream alive!
Does anyone think they are going to far with variants though? The power up one on pokerstars stars seemed to be a bit silly to me more like a computer game when you can see one of your opponents cards or see the next 3 in the deck, or get dealt an extra card etc. Many of the calculations you do normally have to go out the window. Not one I will play again! The unfold game was a bit more interesting though but more costly as it looks like you get raked twice, once for the main pot and once for the side.
