Hello!

I know there are much bigger tournaments available at other poker rooms but I play a lot at unibet Poker and have now collected two tickets for the Supernova 20k GTDs.
Supernova is an MTT that starts every Sunday evening (Western European time), the first day there will be 6 hours of poker and the next day the remaining levels.
So far I have participated in this tournament 3 times and I have just won 2 prizes, approximately 180eu in prize money both times. Prize money is from around 35th to 45th place with a top prize of around 4k.

I don't use the late registration but start from the start of the tournament. I play calmly and patiently and try not to call all ins preflop, yet I am unable to finish higher in the tournament. Furthermore, I often only play suites of high cards with a chance of a straight or high pairs and pockets. I rarely bluff because I feel that in these tournaments one only gets calls when someone has good cards in hand.

I'm curious if there are more Cardschat members who play this tournament and if there are any members who have tips on how to make the final table.

Thanks!

I'd imagine i only play tournaments like this whenever i get tickets to it somehow (by whatever competion or so) - last time there probably didnt go too well haha ...

But then again i prefer that supermoon main event even more considering there you can get bounties so can easily practice military strategy lol

Yes, the Supermoon event is definitely a fun tournament where you can collect nice bounties. It's just that I don't have tickets for that :p

I hope one day I can participate in the Supermoon event using tickets I won at the Cardschat Freeroll :)

I believe next supermoon main event is 4 weeks away and before that there should be 11-12 cc games where you'd win their tickets ...

With supermoon tickets the best thing is that with 0.40/2/10€ tickets you can use them in FLIP games and registering to them 1 sec before start may increase your chances of securing cash prize or higher value ticket. Obviously this way you'd save (a lot of) time but then again doing that ^ does not guarantee you ITM-finish ...

Also technically you'd try flip luck with 50€ ticket aswell but i believe these are limited to 5 people where only winner gets 250€ ticket - 20% chance might be not too bad actually lol ...

I tried the flip trick several times (4 or 5 times) and it only works for me once.
In addition, I get more fun and practice out of just playing the qualifiers.

Last weekend I took part in the Supernova tournament with the ticket I won and finished 26th after five and a half hours of play, which gave me a prize of €195. I am quite happy with it as I won my entry and did not have to pay the full registration fee.

In addition, I was able to analyze some interesting hands during the tournament so that I can hopefully finish a few places higher in a next tournament.

Flip trick usually works even better when these games arent limited to certain amount of participants. Obviously like in any other flip you probably would still need some kind of luck in them ...

But then again if in their flip there are tables consisting 6 people & currently 12 people registered then it that scenario joining 1 sec before the start pretty much boosts your chances of ITM-finish lol
