I think that it is the best way to make it grow, because we have a summarized number of players to beat to get a prize compared to the big tournaments where you have thousands of rivals.

n my case I don't think sit & go is a good way to increase your bankroll. I think it is a way to throw your money to luck. That game mode has rarely saved me, but well we all have or acquire different ways of playing poker and certain game modes work more for some than others.
regards!!

I don’t like sit and gos that much. I’d rather play MTT and turbo if short on time. I feel there’s too much chance of collusion on a single sit and go table. For example, two friends could join the same sit and go and share their cards with each other via phone, text, etc outside of the game and have better information for winning pots and cashing. Just my thoughts.

I'm curious how much of this the more experienced online players here thinks happens? I could see it happening maybe at the higher stakes games, but do the casinos have monitoring that prevents this (IE: notice when two users consistently join the same games)? I find it hard to believe that this is happening regularly, but maybe I am naive.

of course !! that's why I said that the sit & go modality works for others. It rarely worked for me !! Today I only play it as a satellite medium for higher value tournaments

I although play mostly sit and goes ,but Iplay douple up sit and goes ,the problem is the rake ,you must win more than 50 % to win money an alternative is multitable sit and goes ,but here you must often long wait before they starts

The very good Sit & Go tournaments if you want to get to the prizes quickly,
The most recommended for a table of 9 players would be very easy to win if they are played with patience, that way they are charged with security. the best thing is that you don't have to play 3 hours like we do when we play mtt. Now when I want a big prize I play the mtt considering that it can take more than 3 hours to finish.
I also started my career in poker from the CIS, but unfortunately, with the development of technology, a huge number of teamplay opportunities have appeared! And now I do not risk playing in the CIS there are too many scammers, unlike MTT.

how long do they usually last 9 handed vs 6

Buried in the middle of the forum thread ;)

As always, it depends on the format. 9 vs 6 is too little information to judge time. Is it live or online? Regular blind speed, turbo, hyper etc.? I think the main point here is that they are much shorter than MMT events of same format.

Generally speaking, I only find 9 to be slightly longer than 6. For example, if the 9 player game lasted say an hour, then 6 would maybe be 45 minutes in my mind. Not a big difference really.

As many players say - SNG is less varied discipline than many others, and if you understand the basic principles of playing this discipline, then at low limits you won't have to come up with something out of the ordinary.

I prefer to play at tables with 27 or 36 players. And the prize money is good and the game does not last long.

This is a great place to start, but for a serious game I chose MTT.

In addition, sit end go tournaments are suitable for raising the limits.

STTs are very convenient, when you are short on time, and they are a good way to practice some aspects of tournament poker including bubble play, 3-handed and heads up. In my experience however it is difficult to get a significant winrate in this format. So I keep gravitating back to MTTs like even just the 45-180 man SnGs on pokerstars.
