There are tournaments with 1 starcoin buyin you can play, look in the tournaments section and you can filter it with starcoins only.

The thing about the 1 starcoin tournament buyin is they have a lot of hyper theme tourneys therefore harder to win something because its based on luck.

I have the same problem, i have 12 starcoins and nothing to spend it on. If you want to do the bronze tournament you can see the last one took over 10 hours. There is the storm sats for 5 starcoins but they are rebuy tournaments.
