Hi guys.

So yesterday I played for over 3 hours in the cardschat platinum freeroll, got to last 18, had a nice stack but lost with A J after the flop had an ace. The other guy had A K, a bummer after playing so long but that is life, you win some and you lose some.

After over 3 hours I was left with 1$ prize. My question is, have you ever considered making the tournament just a tiny bit faster? I would also like to know what you guys think about this. I want to make sure, I'm not complaining at all, if this is how it is and has to be, what can you do. It's just that in my case it's 1am when we usually get in the money, after 3h of play, so I won't be able to play very often.

I'm looking forward to hearing what other members of cardschat think about this. And cardschat, I appreciate everythink you guys do, keep it up:)

I'm not a platinum member yet, but I totally understand your comment ... It’s still lucky that not a lot of people take part in these tournaments, but it seems they’re still long... Luckily, there are a lot of platinum tourney, and I hope that’s not specific to all of them.
I am completely satisfied with the silver tournaments, if I belong to a platinum club, it will definitely be even better.I look forward to trying them. Thanks CC! :)

More than happy with things as they are. There are enough bingo players as it is. Just my opinion, I don't like turbo. Others feel the opposite. Can't please everyone.

I like the structure that is chosen now. Because we can play more hands and risk players are eliminated in the first hour of the game. If the tournament format is accelerated, then your all in / fold option will come very quickly. It's just going to be bingo and random. A comfortable game is a deep stack, a large number of hands played and slowly growing blinds.

Righ now blinds change every 10 minutes. In my opinion every 6 minutes would be perfect, still not bingo... I like it slower myself so it's more skill involved, but if you play over 4 hours to reach the final table and it's past 2am in the morning, it's not ideal either. But I understand that you can't please everyone and if it is this way, clearly more people prefer how it is now. Still amazing tournament I'm very grateful for. Thank you for the reply guys, apreciate it

Luckily I can't consider myself a good player yet so I won't be reaching the final stages often anyway haha

unfortunately these are things that happen, in free games we have to be used to these things.

I agree a little, you can, of course, do it a little faster. So the time zones are different, and at four in the morning to sleep and at six to get up

I agree, I don't play the daily freerolls because they are too long for the small price.

You can please some people sometimes, but you can't please all the people all the time. :)

This goes for pretty much everything.

However tournaments are structured and scheduled, there will be some who would prefer it more of a splodge splat shape at a later time and those that wish it to be earlier and more of a sharp spikey shape. Like a hedgehog. :)

An important function of cardschat freerolls is to give less experienced members of the community an opportunity to develop their game, experiment with different techniques and put into practice newly discovered strategies.

Not sure how speeding up the games, in any manner, would serve to improve that element of purpose. :dontknow:

I don't think you're the only one with these problems. But the way the world works, not everything in it is perfect.Tournament time is built so that it is convenient for everyone and not for a certain circle of people. For this, you need to have what they give. And for doing this for us, a big thank you to the community! We love you Cardschat!

Ofcourse stars freerolls last too long. In fact most of these daily tournaments probably last longer than average MTT lol but then again luckily even in stars there are 2 cc freerolls which have reasonable blind level (5 mins) and usually competions held in homegames are also over quite fast (under 3 hours) ;)

Dont know if you can play in 888 and/or unibet but in their games maybe joining in the last minute/second of late reg isn't that bad idea cause it usually saves you some (valuable) time :)

Also technically in these cc games with 10 min blinds (where starting stack is 3k) you'd basically sit out first hour without losing too much cause that way you can only lose like 1000 chips (if even that) which shouldn't be disastrous since blinds go up on snail's speed :hmmmm2:

No problem with long, deep stack games for anyone. In fact, it is the most comfortable. We love to play poker, that's why we're here. That's not the problem. Obviously, a working person doesn’t always have the strength/time to do this 4-5 hours, plus poker doesn’t just consist of that. Turbo tournaments are great for a lot of learning and practice. And it's worth it. You can improve a lot.
I don’t agree that turbo tournament is bingo. Oh no! luck is a little more important... ok I accept, but far from bingo...Many people are likely to be less successful in turbo tournaments because they think they are in a bingo game... :)

so I don't think it's a disadvantage to have 1-2 turbo tournaments as well.
