I've been lucky enough to build the BR pretty decently in the last week...because of the prize amounts I'm justifying spending at least the $22....LOL....we'll see what happens!

Likely, the Carbon 10r will play MUCH tighter than the 1r in my experience. In the old PS 10rs, you could expect 1r type plays, such as allins preflop with all sorts of hands 67, 26, any two lol, and many rich players might be in as many as 20 buyins. Since the buyin is 3K and the addon only 5K, it may be that people will be pushing early, but it is not the nature of these types of Carbon Rebuys. You have to see how your table plays early.

If I were playing I might get in with just a buyin (possibly one rebuy right away), and if I don't get enough chips in the rebuy period either quit, or skip the addon. The addon is just not alot if you are trying to get by cheaply.

It all depends on how you play, and how much cash you have You can take several different avenues.

The 20K prizepool makes a difference and may alter the rebuy strategies of many players. Since I do not have experience with these events on Carbon it is hard to tell how it will play out in general. But my initial guess would be as above, that players will not be firing on all cylinders at first.

I'm not gonna play loose during the rebuy period so I'm thinking I can do an immeadiate add on and another at the break??? I think if I go out I'm just gonna suck it up because I don't wanna blow more than $33 on it $44 max....we'll see. How's the PLO tourney going???

PLO8, I am out after I was crippled when I could not hit another card for scoop or pick up a low for split. From there I could not build up from the small stack and just got outted 266th Place. Shame. Looking forward to this one for days.

Against my better judgement, but only cause I'm pissed to be out of PLO8, I joined 10r Maximus. Although, the 10r on PS places several spots in my Top 10 of online poker Cashes which includes a 4th Place finish for $5481 (Nov 2010) among several others - had about 6 PS 10r FTs over the years

So, as I am playing I see the blinds will be moving quite fast (only 10 minutes) and it looks like the end will be more of a turboish pushfest late v more skillful late end game. Play accordingly, but just causally, slowly building up a stack is likely not the best course.

Yeah, as it comes up to 1st Hour and end of rebuy period, I see it was played VERY SLOW by rebuy standards as there are only 945 rebuys with 811 players. That is super low and shows people were playing very tight for the most part.

I ended up making the initial buyin, rebuy and the addon and am sitting at $9990. It tricked me into the extra rebuy by popping up when it usually would be the addon. So they got me for $10 extra. Damnit.

OK well I made it to the first break after an early brain fart.....sitting with 14060 and roundabout 160th or so. You're right WEC it was played a lot slower than I thought.....I'm glad the rebuy period is over....ready to catch somebody....good luck!

Doing OK but not playing very well. The players are alot worse than I thought they'd be, alot of them just chasing low hands quite often. 8.7k at the mo.

yeah I can't see a flop at my table.....I haven't had a hand to call the all ins that keep popping up and when I do get a decent hand everybody folds to a min raise

ciscospike- A trick to get to live support is to click on cashier button then "cash transfer" that should take you to a live support chat box. If you try to access it any other way it usually will tell you they are offline. I'm sure they will get you your bonus prob not a tourney refund tho
