PKO or MTT?

Just for the record MTT means Multi Table Tournament, and all PKOs (Progressive KnockOut), that I know off, are MTTs. pokerstars have some 9-man SnGs with bounties, but those are not progressive, and then its called KO (KnockOut) rather than PKO. So the choise is not between PKO or MTT but between PKO MTTs or regular MTTs

I like PKOs, but not enough to play them all the time, what happens is that it seems that people go crazy looking for a bounty and that is annoying since they bet with everything, with what they have just to win the bounty of some player, of course there is always the advantage of elimination winnings, but I don't know, I think I've had the bad luck of playing with people who go crazy for bounties and well, that's why I prefer to play normal mtts

Moving between both, depending from the appetite! Bounty tournaments are faster and the others need more patience.

I don't really like spending hours playing, but I still manage to have a higher performance in MTTs. But I play both.

Do you prefer tournaments with Bounty or normal? I personally think that the traditional format is much better since in the Bounty you obviously see more variance in case of format, what do you think?

I prefer tournaments with Bounty, it's a good option to earn some money without doing ITM. The bad thing is that everyone plays more aggressively in these types of tournaments

there is more aggression in knockout tournaments and they are more attractive, because before reaching the prizes, you can knock out the players and win the tournament in plus

Picking a PKO will always be better for the bankroll.

I agree with you, I also like MTT tournaments. In these tournaments, you build a game strategy, it's a bit like chess. At PKO, you really rely more on luck, and this makes the game feel more like a casino than a sport.

I prefer not bounty events overall and prefer freeze out ones. While I do play both I find too many players just gambling for the bounties and feel it’s not good for the game overall. They can be profitable I admit.

a knockout with a slower structure will be more beneficial for beginners
