To get to first place, you MUST cash. you simply must. There's a lot of other important stuff that happens in between cashing and first place but NONE of it even has a chance to transpire unless you first cash.
If you buy-in to a MTT for $3.00 and you only mid cash for $2.50 how are you winning?? Would it not be a loss of c.50.

Also the OP has really bad BRM! See the 11th post.

I've never, ever seen a pay structure like that. Online a min cash is usually money back plus like 10-30%.

Live a min cash is usually about doubling your money.

But either way, if you look down on cashing like its a failure of sorts... It will be hard to ever win first. Think of a min cash as 1 or 2 more free shots at first place. Not your goal, but nothing to turn your nose up at.

Yes, I did that when I didn't know about bankroll management. I've learned since. The games I've seen min cash is a least double. Am I wrong.

And exactly where did I make such an assumption?

Where did I say that it's impossible to have a high ITM and to win a lot?

Sorry Arjonius - I was thinking that you were randeebam who said: " if you're cashing a high percentage in large field MTT's then you're not playing correctly." I said this was stupid and you appeared to say I was being ridiculous!! (March 12th).

Now kidkvino1 says the object in a MTT is to come first. That is up to the player, surely?? But to come first you have to cash...

I've seen a few, but they have been fixed.

You have to build your stack before you can make the cash, so build your stack so you can win it.
