Greetings, fellow table companions! Today, I want to address a key question that we all face at the beginning of a poker tournament: should we adopt an aggressive or conservative approach in the early rounds? The answer can make the difference between building a solid stack early on or struggling in the later stages.
Ultimately, the choice between an aggressive and conservative approach depends on your personal playing style and the dynamics of the table. Do you have a preference? Share your approach and why you believe it is effective!

It depends on the tournament. In tournaments with bounties you basically cant content for halt the price pool, unless you cover other players. So in that format it makes sense to be more aggressive in building and maintaining a big stack throughout the tournament. And there will also be spots, where a bounty is in play from someone, who lost most their chips, and where you are correct to be very aggressive in trying to get that bounty.

For normal tournaments there is still truth to the old saying, that you can not win a tournament in the early phase, but you can lose it. So in those you dont want to go buck wild in the early phase. But you dont want to nit up completely either. Basically your only focus should be to try to win chips through solid profitable poker. Which mean you play pretty much like, if it was a cash game with an ante. This means looser than in games with no ante, but not as loose as, when for instance you are a chip leader near the bubble and can apply pressure to shorter stacks.

Hello. I agree with you, but what about the statement that it is not necessary to play the entire stack, it is enough to support it at a certain level. I'm not talking about the Bounty format, this is more related to satellites and MTTs. And if I understand correctly, a tight-aggressive style of play is more suitable.
