I think it is too late to shoot for that this year hehe. But maybe next year! I would have to move up to the $33's and 9-12 tables lol.

Heh, you gotta admit he played a good consistent bluff :)
Don't like the 300 preflop raise too much with AK.(just a thought)

Anyway don't let it tilt you, it's a freak hand, not many people will pull off a bluff like that.

BTW it's freezing out here. I hate mid-season weather :s
Up to 180$, almost got my bonus and 10$ stellar reward. Really improved my game lately.
Watched HSP yesterday. DURRRRRR IS SIIIIIICK!!

I disagree that raising to 300 it too much. There's alredy almost 300 in the pot, so the raise is not even a pot raise.
Its a tough situation though. It happens. Just take notes on that player, and move on.

Well I'm a heads up player, so I don't like stack-amputating raises preflop. Also I don't like the fact that it implies that the cbet is practically pot-comitting. (half of your stack in there afterwards so... :s ) But hindsight 20/20, so I'm not criticizing anything.

I think the flop shove should be considered as a viable option, depending on the player you're up against. But then again that's in hindsight.

I would have just raised all in instead of the min raise to 900 - but either way you got all your chips in which you had to do.

Gotta love those flush chasers lol.

I agree with Debi, shove all-in rather than encourage a flush to chase/ semi-bluff all-in.

After the cbet he's pretty much pot committed for the draw. It's a coinflip against AQo and 34% against your hand (10% for a split). But I agree it's a pretty donky play overall :p.

And yeah there's always a next one.
Btw, I was talking about your opponent when I said it was a donky play.

I think a raise to 250 would be better. then your cbet can be smaller too.. as played, postflop is standard.

First hand guess I should have reraised pre? At this level though seeing a cheap flop and quick and easyfold when overcard hits or is this bad thinking at the early stages? Not complaining about the outcome sweet fanny adams I could do lol.

Woop aces just got cracked by jacks looks like today may be intresting........

rasing preflop with jacks here is a mistake at thses levels.. its a hand that i will setmine with in this spot.. the only time ill really raise with it is wehn im in late position, CO and button, ill make a std raise instead of open limping with them. postlfop is fine. so id b very happy with it

So odd results for me today. Played 6 SnG's. Placed 4th 2nd 2nd 2nd 2nd 2nd.
Its kind of odd, cause I win most of my HU's, but just got very lucky in most of my games, all the way until heads up. And then it was like the tide just turned.

yes that is unusual.. generally you want more first and third place finishes than seconds.. but still a decent day for you.

I actually have a question for all the SNG players out there.. just out of curiosity.. how many games do you play per month?

Oh and is bridge a hard game to learn?
