Play live tournaments)))))) There is no need to watch TV.
But seriously, you miss a lot when you are distracted by anything and are waiting for your AA.
I'm against a quick game, but when you are in the pass all the time - it's not interesting either.

Not sure how the live poker rooms are handled in you part of the world, but here in the US, and in SoCal, and Nevada for sure, ALL rooms (except perhaps private rooms) are blitzed with multiple TV's, along with the clatter of chips, that can be heard a fair distance away. There is the sound of groups of people, the occasional uproar. Not to mention the waitress in a thought provoking uniform.

There is plenty of distraction in these poker rooms/casino's. Way more than like having a singular TV distraction at home.
