id consider many live games ot be softer than online because many online players are hyper aggressive as they are multitabling….

more considerate play is made live than online where many players try to bluff harder than they would live

I have played both live and online and I think online is tougher to get through to the final table. In live play I tend to see more cautious play than online. My guess is that, in live mtts, fewer players want to gamble a bit by making an aggressive play with a mediocre hand. Plays like this usually create some emotion that some players aren't sure they can hide at a live table. Essentially, poker faces aren't required on line. Having one in live play takes practice that a lot of folks just don't get like they do on line.
