I have been playing poker for about 4-5 years. I also prefer tournaments. My biggest win so far is $120.

Well, I don't win that often, but lately it's been happening more often. I participate in small tournaments and in home games and recently once a week I manage to win or at least get into prizes.🤷‍♀️

I've managed to get in 9th place of New Years Series Event from pokerstars this year, winning $688.
Biggest win so far, but I also won first place in a small MTT ($1.10) paying $135.

I had my best game ever during my recent birthday trip to Vegas. On Saturday I was playing the 10am $60 tourney at South Point, and was struggling from the opening deal. I got a grapefruit juice from the waitress at the beginning, and for the next six hours I never ordered another drink because I didn't think that I'd still be around when she returned. I went up a little, then down a little, and so on until I was knocked out before the first break and re-entered. So now, for me, it was a $120 entry against 228 entries.

I stuck to my method of play and didn't go wild in the hopes of a big score. The money began at 30th place and slowly the number of opponents began to shrink as it neared that magic number. For probably the last half hour I was in the game, I was down to half of the big blind most of the time, and a few allins with playable cards, and some breaks took me to 30th place and in the money. Shortly afterwards I was knocked out in 27th place which was the second level of the money and was paid $82. That meant I had ended up losing $38, but I had never played so well and as far as I'm concerned I won.

PS - I have been playing tournaments since October 8, 2018 which makes just under 4.5 years I've been enjoying the game.

I started playing around 2004 had a big break with no play from 2017 - 2022. I live in Denmark
My first big winning was around 3000$ which was used on a vacation to Paris with good restaurants.
I won a travel for 2 to Las Vegas + 2500$ spending money, was in Grand Canyon played a bit poker and sightseeing. ( unibet) 5 days
I won a travel to Las Vegas ( danske spil / partypoker) 8 days
I have won buyin + travel to, London, Notthingham ( got in the money around 1500£ ), Pargue, Copenhagen
won 5- 7 buyins to the local casino with cashes at around 5000$ in total.
I have had several cashes around 1000$
I have been cheated by Mansion Poker for 800$ asking for payout they stalled and ended up closing my account.

Overall poker has been very kind to me, and it is still a fun journey.

In 2008 I won two Railbirds freerolls on the very same day. The first one (on Fulltilt) had ~1,200 entrants, the second had 300 entrants and was an invite only that ran just once per month on Pokerstars (Leaderboard from the previous month). I recall some guy named TopCat1954 placed 2nd in the one on Stars. That's it. 15+yrs. of this and that's the best I got. Pfff... what a eff'n loser I am.
