Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has found the same to be the case for them also? On 888 in particular, I have found the 0.40c 9 man regular SNGs to be easier to cash in that the donkfest of the 0.10c turbo. Likewise, the 0.5c turbo SNG is relatively easy to cash in. I am under the impression that, even though the stakes are still relatively low in the grand scale of things, raises are respected and people actually play poker rather than just going AI with ATC? Would this be a reasonable assumption?
yes not alot of differance in microstakes at that level. You actually have really soft games overall on 888, even at the $20+ level you find really fishy games pretty easily. However the games don't really run enough and the software is garbage so it's pretty hard to multitable them.
I think what you are finding is that you have a better ITM% and therefore a better chance of winning regular speed tourneys. As for the buy in they are both super micro buy ins and will attract pretty much the exact same standard of players. The main thing to take from this though is that regular speed gives better players more wriggle room than turbos.
I think the $5 dollar range is the easiest level. Think the $5 level is where people start to play more optimal strategy, but most are still bad players. after $5 the stakes get tougher. Below $5 people to lose and spazzy and don't under stand how to use basic fundamentals.
I disagree, generally the higher the buyin the greater the skill level of your opponents. When i'm playing low stake SNGs people dont care too much about losing $5 because it's almost insignificant to them so they just pick a hand that looks nice and go all in. But in the higher SNGs people actually care about winning so they grind it out instead of just spewing chips playing bingo poker.
The higher up I have gone the SNG ladder has shown the higher stakes have more players prone to protecting their stack and less willing to gamble until it is on their terms. In other words, it gets a little tougher. yeah you can aggro around for a while but eventually the action you get is going to crush you.

have to agree with a few ppl that posted already the higher the sng buy-in normaly the better the players-you can def see a differance in a 1 buck sng and 5 buck sng and even the higher buy-ins-anything below 1 buck is normaly a donkfest fest-if your playing well and winning at the level your playing i say play on and good luck
