Been playing MTTs for a little bit now on the side of cash games and after a good run in Ram's MM-ME stake (thanks man :)) I've been keeping interested. I reckon I'm un-bad (not yet good) enough to be able to show some profit in these things. So now that I'm set on playing them whenever I have the time I'd like to know more about ROI and sample sizes.

1. Primarily what would an expected ROI be for an average winner at the micro BI tournaments ($11 and below is what I plan on playing)?

2. And obviously what sample size would I need to determine how successful I am at these?

TBH not quite sure if I am above average yet, but I like to think so, probably best to assume I'm there or roundabout.

Oh and some hand analysis from a recent tournament -

1) Opener was 30/15 and most of the callers were big fish (other than one guy who was only mildly fishy). I preferred a shove to calling because we are largely ahead of everyone's range except for the opener. Tens don't play too good multiway either and our value largely depends on hitting a set. Is a shove or a call better?

2) Wondering whether a raise to isolate the donker is better or a flat to induce from the SS. Thoughts?

3) Contemplated checking flop but decided a Cbet was best. Was definitely checking back turn, really wasn't sure if I was best vs his donk but felt I was being given decent odds and can always re-evaluate OTR. When we get raised it's easy but are we happy with how this was played?

Being a cash player I'm unused to tournament sizing. Is the sizing in these spots OK, esp preflop isolation? (3x seems to create tricky sizing post when at 20-30BB stacks)
