So this was bonkers. I was playing live tonight, a £50 buy in tourney at a local club. 90 plapyer start plus more on a waiting list. and there were 2 mainiacs at table. 1 talked a good game but was just chucking money around for no good reason. Another was just hitting everything but couldn't fold either, the rest of the table were generally solid.
I have the QQ in around the HJ, we are 10 to a table. Blinds are 300/600 or 400/800. The action starts with player 3 above, he is short and shoves for 7k, Player 4 calls, the nutter, player 5 shoves all in, guy nest to him all shoves, he is a solid player.
Then its me. So I'm thinking there's a decent chance only the solid guy has a genuinly good hand, but I also know the player 2 will likely come along with any half a hand.
This is for way more than I've usually played for, but is low for playing live, so I'm playing. I have to call, but I don't love it. As expected the guy next to me calls after 4 all ins with KJo. Player 4 with TT then calls too.
All of us were of faily similar stack size barring the short guy with 76s, and the crazy guy with KJo.
I can't remember all suits correctly, so its all a bit rough. But I wanted to see what sort of equity I had in this hand. It wasn't bad at 27%
Interesting if I had AA, then my equity goes up to 41%. Which is actually more gthan I thought.
The flop had K on it, the turn was a J, so the crazy guy won a massive pot. He then proceded to give it away, and win it back over the next hour or so. But I didn't see him when we were down to 4 tables later in the game.
