I almost solely play Bovada atm due to laws in my state. At first I also loved the anonymous feature, but lately it's just not working for me. I play mostly ring games and I hate sitting down and folding 5 or 6 good hands on some clown before I realize he will naked bluff anything and anyone. Then once they know you've busted them your only get a few hands back from them before they leave the table. Then I go to a different table, probably with the same joker and have to do it all over again. It's hard to grind out any profit this way!
And for the BOT's: If you watch certain players betting; they input odd bets, (that is; not a quick half pot or pot or one bet option) but actually having to type in the bet themselves. They do it so fast that there is no way it's a person doing it. I have mine setup to allow me to use the enter button to bet and I can't type it in and hit enter fast enough to come close to some of these players. Let alone calculating the bet amount as well! And they will be using very calculated bets doing this. So you tell me? I'm only playing there because of the great promotions they have right now, well that and its one of two I can play on right now because every site I played on dropped players from Kentucky slowly one by one starting a few weeks after BF.
Haven't seen anything about who is winning these ipad mini's. I definitely am not keeping much money on their atm, but hoping they throw the whole anonymous thing out the window soon.

I usually sit in seat 6, are you the guy making wild bets on every hand with junk!? Super aggressive, in every pot with absolutely nothing? LOL

I've been playing there since 2007, and I love it!!!!! Would recommend to anyone. Anonymous took a little getting used to but now I love it. Everyone is on an equal playing field and if you pay attention it is easy to pick up on playing styles.

The best piece of advice for those attempting to play on Bovada is that you should definitely have a newer computer. I thought the software was garbage. I used to time out all the time and even get disconnected for hours at a time. Then I got a new computer and things have never been better. Not one interruption to speak of.

Good luck at the tables!

I'm a pretty recreational player. Used to play a lot on pokerstars. I got the $10 offer on Bovada last month after playing for a few weeks decided to go ahead and add a bit more. The anonymous thing doesn't really bother me, but then that is likely because I don't play enough to make it really matter. My husband has been researching all the sites available in the US, but he plays more cash games and I play more tournament, so we are looking for different things. Bovada SNGs fill up pretty quickly. America's Card Room, the other one I have looked at for tournaments, is just a mess.

I used to play on Bovada, when it was bodog. Now it just seems like it's easier for people to collude since you can't keep track of the players. I'll splash around every now and then but they GTD's tourney just kept getting lower and lower.
Bodog was the spot for overlays. It just doesn't move at the thought of Bovada.

Long Shot here, but since it's a thread for Bovada players what better place to ask?
What can I do to convert my hand histories from Bovada to use on Cards Chat?

I actually like Bovada. I think the whole anonymous thing just makes people tip there hat sooner. I find it easy to make reads on players and I believe its because they are anonymous so don't try to hide there playing styles. I use to play pstars before BF( OH how I miss you, would drop Bovada in a second if you would just take me back!) started playing online again this past summer Bovada being one of the few choices and I find the MTTs to be quite profitable, mostly turbos.

Yesterday Bovadas 100k tournament had a $125,000 prize pool so they are getting pretty good traffic right now. I would really like to see them come out with a big tournament series like the OSS or PokerMaximus.

Because I can't take notes. When I go to the live poker room, I know how certain people play. This helps me, not having to learn everybody's game every time i sit down.

But generally I prefer live poker, so I don't really care anyways. I will never make a sizable deposit to any site. $20 or $30 is all I will ever deposit. I withdraw when i get to $200 usually, like if I hit a good MTT payday.

Just curious what deposit option do you use?
