i would say to play the ones that you feel comfortable with and notice that you nearly always cash in those.:)
if you keep on playing high stakes and you see that you never cash, try smaller ones;)

Thanks for the tip! :) I was playing a few months SNG's, with more success, then tried some other higher stakes with no success, so I'll take your advice haha ;)

I play hot 1.10

With how much of a bankroll? how many do you play per day/week and are you finding success? :)

I like to play sng 6max ;) really not long and the prizes are not bad! :) good luck;)

I agree, starting at six handed and then moving to ten man sngs. Less people = better chances, and will improves your short handed game for when you finnaly do go deep.

haha nostalgia for a format that was good for you? :)

Did you read the whole thread already I think there is some good advice =) anyway will wait for your opinion too

You know what I used to like very much, steps on full tilt before PS bought them, if I remember correctly it wass 6 handed, first 2 go next (or just 1 hmm) and at step 2 or 3, third place had some money back, it was not that hard U_U

not really convinced but what can I say if I've also tried spin & go's which is 3 handed xD

thanks for the input everyone :)

Bankroll flashing from $20-$60 - 90-man SnG (25c). Fairly deep payout structure, slow pace (15 min levels), soft fields. (= ridiculously low variance and rock solid ROI)

BR $60-$100
Spend 66% of the time playing 25c 90-man
The remaining time, spend playing $1 180-man SnG and 55c The Bigs.

BR $100-180
Your bread and butter is $1 180-man SnG, and cash games NLHE2, 55c the Bigs, giving shots to $ 1.1 the Bigs and 55c the Hots on weekends (specially sundays). Once you hit 160 mark, you can add $1 or less turbos and 50c or less hyper turbos, and from there, you have experience with MTTs, Cash Games, SnGs... you should start building your own br strategy with the game type you play more comfortably.

I don't advocate cash games on lower levels. The field is not that beatable by +15 bb/100 anymore and rake is outrageously high.

If you have less than 20 dollars, save that money, keep playing freerolls. If you want to be aggressive with that sort of BR and make shots with that, do the Big 55c or $1.1 dollars on sundays. Those are the only ones that are worth the risk of losing your br because once you make the final table, you become instantly bankrolled for way way way higher tiers than that.

I'd also consider changing platform. I love the Party Poker's satellite structure and the lower levels MTTs field (my game choice) are ridiculously soft. I spent 5 months playing 0.22, 0.55 and 1.10 6-max MTTs (200bb initial stack, 8min per blind level), with over 2k tournaments tracked with over 50% ROI (would be even higher if pokertracker tracked final table deals on party poker) on every level. Soft as ****. Softer than 35c 90-man snG.

For Brazilian Players, theres daily giveaway worth 1c that award the places 10-4 with a $ 5.5 MTT ticket, places 2 and 3 with a $22 MTT ticket and first place with a $109 mtt ticket. You can make shots at the highest stakes tournaments with very little money spent. Unfortunately I've sucked hard on anything from 5.5 dollars and beyond, but i dont have time anymore to go to the lab, study my stats and figure whats happening. Maybe im just outclassed, maybe the field is just tougher and i need to adjust my strategy from there, maybe its just variance (much lower volume, I probably break even the 5.5s with FT result)

Wow, thank you so much for such elaborate answer :)

I just started participating in freerolls; made 2$ and lost all of it on 0.10$ SnGs :( I suppose I will take your advice and gain some more free money before I start losing it again. I will try my best in The League in June. It's a pity that PokerstarsTV 2000$ added freerolls are over for some time now as I think that was the easiest way to get started.

you can play micro cng and try the satellites at 0.15 for luck, you can spin — but this depends on the bankroll — moreover, aggressive

When trying to build a bankroll the main thing is to select games, where the variance is not to large. If you play tournaments with several tousind participants, your bankroll will tend to dripple down slowly interrupted by a huge spike up, when you finally hit a big win. On pokerstars this mean, you mainly need to go in the SnG lobby.

Personally, I really liked the multi-table tournaments at 90-180 players. Very smooth structure levels of 15 minutes and a lot of weak players! Frequent ITM (it does not drag kilopolya)! So good luck!

depends, how much money you have and how much time you wont to invest, if you are ready to invest 6+h you can play mini mtt big 0,55 and hot 0,55
but if you don't have that much time about 2-5h you can play sit and go 0.25$+ 45-180 players, 180 most of times go 4h+, 45, 2h+.

Ttricky question

Tell me, how can I build a bankroll without investment? Or do you need some kind of contribution? I don’t really believe that you can do this on freerolls, did anyone succeed?

Hi everyone, I think that to create a bankroll for playing poker you need to start with Holdem Poker since there are many freerolls on this type of poker (for those who start from scratch). And in this type of poker a lot of players

I certainly dont see, how that is possible on PokerStars, where there hardly are any freerolls other than the restricted ones like the daily CC freeroll. The weekly freerolls requires a ticket, which you only get, if you play and pay rake enough to earn some chests.

I honestly also dont see, why it makes sense, unless you are prevented from depositing for legal reasons. And in that case you might also face problems when trying to withdraw at some point in the future.

i recently made a pokerstars account and deposited 25eu so i got the welcome bonus 30 dollar its 10$ in cash rest comes in spin and go tickets over a period of 5 days or something.

i dont like spin and gos that much but i could made some wins out of the tickets.

i had a good run in big 1.10 in last days and one in 1.10 bounty builder.
collected 20 $ bounties was very nice. made it ITM too.
fell out full house i had Aces Jacks, oponent had Aces queens,

i like play 0.50ct sit n goes, want to make it up to 1,50$

10ct 360 players..
50ct 90 players

the 25cts are slow ones i dont like that, but enough time to grind it out i think :D

have fun good luck
think your card range ;)

I think it's better to start playing with sit and go tournaments, with a buy-in of 1-2 dollars. And add few multitable tournaments with a slow structure

Why do you want to make a free bankroll? If you aren't able to make a deposit, you shouldn't play poker. Poker is a hobby, like every hobby it costs money. If you don't have money, you should search another hobby. No offense. Good advice. Would you start to play football without appropriate equipment? I think that you would not! Freerolls are like Jeopardy and if there is an honest intention to build up a reasonable bankroll, so take it serious. At any rate, the way you will try, i wish you GL. :)

Amen to that! Also if you are serious about poker, you want to build up your skills, and that require, that you get into a daily or at least regular grind in games, which are similar to those, you will be playing, if you move up. And this is not freerolls. Sure you can use the CC daily freeroll to practice for tournaments, because it is structured like a normal tournament, and the opponents are not terrible.

But it only run once a day, and to get volume you want to play several tournaments per day not just one. So you need to make a deposit, which will allow you to play regular games like 1$ SnGs or 2NL cash, and to move up, as soon as you are beating those games over a decent sample.

I deposited 100$, when I started playing on PokerStars, and I also purchased PT4, which today is a similar amount of money. But as you say, this is really not much compared to, what you would spend on equipment, if you decided to play football or start any other hobby. And unlike most other hobbies, in poker the money might actually come back over time, as they did for me.

In order to play poker, you really need money, as strange as it may sound, but it is true, and not a little. It is better to start playing with average limits without spending time on micro limits.Purchase programs to analyze your game and more or less successful coach. And then on your way to conquer the poker peaks in the Internet:pcguru:

Undoubtedly the fastest format of poker is spin & go or spin & go flash. Again the limits are $4-$5/
