Live day started out with me doubling up with QQQQ vs a non believer. That and 2 other hands were all I saw as the victim of my quads did the slow recovery and finally killed me, before the color up. Lesson would be to always kill any live tourney opponent we can, but he had me covered on the QQQQ hand and survived with less than 1K chips in a 5K chips (starting) game.
Went and made my buy-in back at the Stud8 game.
Ran into a situation maybe someone can help explain. There was a hand where I was the bring in, and only one player called, and he had the high card and before the 4th street card he offered to chop, I said sure, then the table told me I needed to muck my hand, the other guy would win the hand, then ship me my chip and 1/2 the ante's back. Small hand yeah, but I had never seen this happen this way, and a very brief explanation included stuff like I needed to muck before the 4th street card, and I had to do it fast as the dealer was under no obligation to play along with us.
I was getting tired, my blood sugar was low, and it confused me. Anyone got the lowdown on that? Bicycle Club game.

Pokerfest, MiniFtops, iPOPS... anyone playin'?
I haven't been playing much lately - had pnuemonia for ~1mth. and been back at work for a bit. Registering a decent set for tomorrow (Sunday), forcing myself to play less tourneys than I feel like.
Starting my day off with:

O8 tourney, blinds just got large. 4 players in the pot, 1 is all in and 800 short of that round, so effectively there is a side pot.
But that all in guy loses, 2 split low, 1 hi winner. One of the low guys goes ballistic not realizing that with no betting after the round the out guy made, it becomes a simple split 1/2 hi, 1/4 each low...normal, but this chump decides he needs to teach every one involved, how things are supposed to work, including the dealer and the TD. Well the TD taught him the lesson, but in the meantime, the 15 minute blind disappeared. In another life I would have smashed the putz into a toilet.....
Went and played the Hustler tourney today. Different structure, sort of feeders to the big game on Wednesday. In this one, 36 get paid, and 18 of those move on.
I ran into my own person luckbox, I tied one hand with him and then lost 3 or 4 races till he killed me before the money. I had read him perfectly, but he kept luckboxing me... Tilted me the whole drive home. However, the big game is gonna be so juicy, that I may very well try again. Looks like it will be 150 ish players and $200K (guaranteed), for the $180 entry into the feeders with some cash coming back from the feeder. Very tempting....
If we had that live gaming section, I could easily add a review of the Hustler casino....alas, I will have to dig around and find it to complete my reviews of the L.A. area tourney rooms.

Thinking of depositing a little more money into my carbon and bovada account maybe 50 each to increase my br and challenge myself to stay at the same levels untill i'm well into a BR that can manage the next levels if I just start to get smacked down quick... hopefully not but we shall see. Wish me luck in the 5dollar tournies
