what I ment was why would a player purposely play for a coin flip when they can find spots to gain chips and play hands that have better edge then coin flips. If your in a coin flip then maybe a misread. To go out thinking I need to play coin flips to win a game or to use the coin flip as a strategy I think could be better stated.

When a player goes into that type of thinking they just let luck take over and stopped using their skill they spent their hard earned time on. Yes we come across spots where we may chose to do so when we have the opponent out stacked.

I gain plenty of chips finding spots and weakness I dont come up short and playing position . Proper table evaluation and player identification helps big time in this area .

Thats all

I disagree with your post

I am a professional online tourney pro with over 500K in Profits and i play mtts in stages with goals for each stage. Stage one survive the first hour and try to be in the middle of the pack or higher. Stage two is cash if you don't cash you can't win and up until the bubble bursts im playing a very tight range and am aggressive post flop. Once the Bubble bursts im opening my game up and trying to win. but still not playing out of pos or with very weak hands. i have over 8000 mtts played with a cash percentage of 26% with almost 600 wins in my career and many many 2nds thirds 4ths 5ths 6th so min cashing is necessary to win.

I do play MTT and agree to play for min cash in is wrong, but it's a part of the game, and if you aim for the 1st place, you will play accordingly to your skills, not rushing and coin flip.
Min cash in is cash in, which help you in a long run with overall BR.

i agree with the idea that going for the min cash is a bad idea. However, you should be cashing way more than 10% of the time. My lifetime on PS was 23% and my ROI was 119%

This was a big problem I had when I first started playing poker online. I just wanted to sit back, be scared and play only the top 5 hands. I'm laughing at the thought of it. I had a terrible experience and I started to feel like the bad players were winning and I would barely place, if at all. This made me play worse after a while because I started feeling like everyone was bluffing and playing hands they shouldn't so I jumped on the crazy train too. I'm so glad I'm over that now and have a better understanding of it..... now on to the other problems I need to fix :)
