because the king of hrt beats the q of hrts it is always the better flush tht wins the pot so ak flush beats your aq flush hope this helps:)]

in poker your make your best 5 card hand, his Ace king high flush beats your Ace Queen high flush. Simple as that.

I always have to learn the hard way... since the Ace was on the board I thought the worst I could do was split the pot.

Better stay at the play money tables for a while until you learn the rules. Mistakes like this can be very costly with real money.

Um, 'cause you didn't have a flush.

There were 4 hearts on the table, your opponent had the King of hearts, you had a 9 clubs and the Queen of diamonds, no flush, just a pair of 9s as it said.

If you had the Q hearts, you still would have lost 'cause he had the King and his five card flush would have beat yours, as others have said.

I read it wrong too 9lions check the top he had q hrts other villain had q diamonds

Ya, it's a tough lesson to learn, but remember, it's always the BEST 5 cards. Keep plugging away on the play money tables and keep asking questions. Best of luck!
