I have been on a terrible cooler for a few weeks now, and tonight was not any better. What did I do wrong in this hand if anything? Just a note TheFinalTabl has been playing very loose and aggressive, showing bluffs, etc.

Any comments would greatly help!!

Thanks:)

Your minimum raise after the flop was a mistake - he already had 60 invested and another 60 was an easy call for him.

When you post your HH's leave the results out until you have had a chance to get some good responses. Then you can post the results.

I agree with Dax. There was no reason for him to fold top pair with a Q kicker for only 60 more chips. Once he got two pair on the turn you couldn't have shook him from the pot even in he hadn't went all in. He may not have been observant enough to put you on trips with a bigger flop bet, but at the very least he might have put you on A,10 and folded.

Do you think if I would have raised him all in on the flop he was folding or do you think he was too invested at that point with a reletively short stack?

Sorry, I will leave out the results next time :)

I think that mostly you got unlucky. I am assuming you min-raised him on the flop to get some value. If you moved all-in or raised a lot, you would have lost him with many of his holdings.

As it stands, he caught almost a perfect runner-runner to win. I don't think the min flop raise is that bad since you get value for your trips in most cases. If he would call more, then I would raise more. But if he gives up on bluffs when re-raised significantly, then min-raise is fine.

I think that you should have raised atleast 3 times the blind with everyone playing loose. You had enough chips to get away from your hand if it hit but on the other hand after the turn hit the other guy couldnt afford to fold top pair there with his stack size

Its just a cooler, people saying you should raise more on the flop to get him to fold are wrong, you should raise an amount that will make him call or reraise with a worse hand, which is what happened. You have to play this hand like its the nuts, if not why limp it, in the hope the flop comes 456, 569?-no. So basically your actions should be actions which are going to get all your chips in the pot by the river. The only thing i do differently is shove the rest of my chips in on the river- if they have managed to get to the river with a Q, other than Q7, then they are the ones who played poorly, if they have 1010, well nh them.

Dem unlucky....trips on the flop is normally gold and we want them to put their chips in. Your hand was the best until the river fell even if it did give you a full house.
If you read the hand from his shoes..... he flopped 2 pair, higher 2 pair on turn and boat on the river. I would have bet at it too as the min reraise wasnt that scary.
All in all not badly played

Thanks for the feedback guys, this hand is the type of stuff that has been happening to me lately. It seems like everything is going right, making the right calls and raises etc. but then the river kills me! Maybe I need to step away from the computer for a few days to prevent myself from going on super tilt and allow some down time.

Don't despair. It happens to all of us. But in the long run, the donks lose. It is just that the long run sometimes takes too long.
