I think a fold is fine, If you just made it to the final table why first your stack when you don't even have any reads on the other players. If you find this player to shove all the time, then yeah sure calling them with A9o is fine, even then you could always wait to a better spot.

I think this is a not a bad spot to call off with ace high. We have made the final table and have about 12bb. It's close but i would have gone with it. Folding is not that bad but conservative i think.

Did you had some stats for this player? I know some situations, where call was correct (but not a final table). Final table better to be tight.

Lets look some aspects:
1. He jamed so that mean he wants to fold eq, instead of all your chips and he is not trapping so hard to have 99+ A9+ which dominates you
2. you have 12 bigs which is perfect 3-bet all in stack so he probbably realize that and doesnt want min raise/fold
3. It depends if u play for first or just to get in the money
4. It depends if it is turbo or regular, if it is turbo snap call if play for first, if its reg call only if his pfr % is high
I think you wery often dominate him and thats leaking money most of the times hope it help

So this first hands in final table, i am fold here because we do not know how often villain steal in this situation, also better not to risk, when a full table.

easy call. with less than 13bb and very high blinds at this time sb is going to try to steal the blinds with hands like k9,k10,kj,q10,A2,A3,A4, so you are going to be ahead on most situations. for that reason i think thats an insta call for me.

There are 2 options, completely dependent on what you're hoping to accomplish.
A:If you are simply looking to ladder and make it to as high of a pay bump as you can, looking for perfect spots;and the difference between getting busting 9th and busting say 5th is huge for you: Fold

B: If you are looking to win the whole tournament and take a commanding spot on the table, and you don't care about the difference between the money difference 9th and 8th or what have you: Call.

There are those who want to win and risk busting when the get the the FT and those who want to survive and ladder to get a better $$. It really depends.
...
Personally:
Snap call.
You are currently one of the shorties and need to chip up to do some real damage. And BB vs SB A9o is a monster. Im not folding to anything less than a 15 BB (effective) shove.

You're short stack and against a SB shove, I think A9 would be profitable. So, I would say CALL.
But like everyone else has pointed out, if you're looking at the pay jumps, then its an okay FOLD.

Good fold. Villain was probably had high pairs and wanted a quick double up. On a FT, just chill and wait for the short stacks to fall out unless you get a made hand
