$24 turbo STT on full tilt; so far reads on villain are that he's only limped into one pot. I've yet to play my first hand. Players behind me are a mix of TAGs and one particularly loose passive player.

Standard top 3 get paid.

Wait for 1st in vigour or SHTICK EM AWWRRRIN?

well you do have position on him. i dont see him getting away from a shove here, and we could be racing with the majority of his range, but i think a call here and a move on the flop works better.

Wouldn't being out of position be better for us if we're going to pull a stop n go?

We'll be left with <1000 chips and no doubt he'll c-bet on most flops, so we won't have really any fold equity postflop...had we been 1st to act we could use our entire stack to our advantage.

Ya, I'd just move in. Too much in pot in comparison to stack sizes for calling with position to be advantageous... I agree it's probably a disadvantage, if anything, because it takes away our stop 'n go. With deep stacks I often just call here. In this spot, with 10 BBs, I can't see a move better than just shoving.

Are we desperate enough to shove over the top though considering we're pretty much way behind his range? I mean tight player who hasn't done anything other than limped in one pot (~20 hands at that point)...we've got to be behind his range right?

i guess versus a habitual raisor a shove here is best.

I don't know, I go 30+ hands without getting a suitable opportunity to open-raise anything, including suited connectors, plenty of times (maybe I'm just always card-dead :p)... but when I do get what I think is an opportunity, my range is fairly wide. Even if he is as tight as he seems, we've got to think he's raising 88-99 here, likely 77-66, no? Maybe AT. AJ almost definitely (AJ only more significant than AQ or AK because I think we might actually have fold equity against it).

It's actually probably closer than I thought it was first looking at it. I don't really hate a fold here... mostly fact that it's a turbo leans me towards shoving.

OH. that changes things some. i thought you mean he had been raising hands, but that he had only limped into one pot.

no; stats are like 6.7/0/2 or something.

I think you're right though combu - the fact that it's a turbo + the fact we can make a few better hands fold, aswell as some that we'd normally be racing with (AJ, KQ etc) makes it a decent push. I dunno...I don't think folding is terrible either.

Results: I push.
