What would you do? Live tourney 10-8 clubs...blinds 50-100, sb with 1000 left
utg raises to 200, one caller, plus me and bb...flop 8h jc 9c...small and big check, utg throws 200, fold, I push with my last 800. I put utg on overpair or maybe aj, and I put bb on a bigger flush draw then me so I want him out. He thinks for a long time and comes in, and of course utg calls which puts him all in. UTG had j6 (very strange) and sure enough KQ of clubs in bb. So I was right wanting bb out to go against utg and sure enough he hits a bigger flush and no straight flush for me on the river.

any advice appreciated...this was last night and i'm still thinking about it

Fold preflop. Why are you putting 15% of your entire stack in the middle, in a multi way pot with a junk hand like T8 sooooooted where you will be oop for the rest of the hand?

As played, open shove that flop.

Well preflop you prob should of folded. On the flop there is not much you can do if you have bottom pair + open ended str8 flush draw and you only got 8BB left. Just didnt get lucky this time.
