OK. Its almost a crapshoot basically. All-in or fold is the norm at this stage. Top ten get paid. Winner gets $2k+. 10th gets $200+ 11th is the bubble. Blinds are rising rapidly ( mean rapidly ) and people are falling all around. Down to last 18 or so

Would you have gone all-in on each occasion - one after another?

The first hand is fine, its the only thing to do, you're in the CO in an uncontested pot, 29k stack and blinds are 4k/8k, you have 99. Easy all-in.

Same situation in the second hand, I think you did the right thing. The 13.4k of blinds and antes is well worth.

The one that troubles me a bit is hand #3, not because you lost it. You're sitting now on 84k in a 10 seat table with an M of 6.5, and dealt AJo UTG+1. Although its a low M, you're stack is the 2nd biggest. The problem with AJ and 8 people left to act is that you're going to be behind if called by a big stack, on the plus side alot of desperate shortstacks with wide ranges and the fact you're first in. I'm not a fan of going all-in here but I also can't say you made a huge mistake because of tourney conditions (speedy), although I probably would have let it go.

Hand #4 you're UTG+2 with 33k and blinds 8k/16k. With those conditions A3 is as good as any to make the move first in, blinds are coming to get you very soon so you need a steal to survive.

It's a real shame you finished 15th, so close to the money and FT. Better luck next time.

I agree Joe. Looking back at the tny thats the hand that lost it for me. ( 3rd one )

I am pretty sure that had I "coasted" for 15-20 hands I would have probably made the final table ( but with half my stack and say 7-8th place). But it rarely gets around to the CO or BB without an all in when the antes and Blinds get any bigger.

Thing is AJ is a big hand in these conditions - however as you state the position is wrong, and if called it will be likely I am behind if against a big stack. Its also a tough decision with only a few seconds to decide ( speed ).

Do I want to settle for low FT finish or try try to accumulate that chip lead going into the final table with a big advantage and a real shot at the bigger money.....I have seen it so many times on these speed tables that the chip leader ( if big enough ) can seriously dominate.
