How many chips more did fastcat11 had? He probably would still be in a good position even if he lost that pot?

In any HU situation, any pair has value. For some reason he did not put you on either a K, or Q, nor 2 spades.

Villain would survive if he lost the hand, and he did have some equity involved.

He 'guessed' better than you, get used to it.

Because he is getting a fantastic price in a hu pot with two live cards in a spot where ranges are going to be super wide.

I'm guessing this is a 3 handed hyper turbo which means that ranges are wide open.

In this specific instance when you shove that puts 315 in the pot and villain needs 195 to call giving them slightly better than 3:2 on a call. Mathematically this is not a good call (they need to win about 60% of the time for that to be the case) but what you need to remember is that two random undercards will normally have about a 35% chance of winning against two overcards. If, for example, you have ace rag then his equity could be as much as 42%.

If villain knows these stats he will probably think this is a chance worth taking in this type of tournament.
