If you had JJ UTG and the player acting after you had raised the previous 6 hands when players had limped in before him, would you all still raise pre-flop?

In that case no, I wouldn't necessarily feel the need to open raise.

In the absence of a maniac on my left though, I think the argument for raising is a good one most of the time.
