i wasnt in the BB i was between the BB and button hint MP. i dont like playing any pp unless i play them hard. as post flop there often not ahead against a few players. so i looked at my stack and bet about 1/4 of it. not completely commiting me if i see a super scary flop but enough to scare most people out of the hand and maybe picking up the blinds. so it ended up being 5x the BB.

difficult decision in this situation..You raist here to 250 preflop.. You have then 700 left..He goes on flop allinn.. I think your best thing is folded here.. An J or higher pocket pair is here huge.. When you call this bet and he haves nothing (two live cards) he can also hit on turn and river.. Your fives are too low here I think

You were short stack, but this was still early, and you could have waited. But, your move here is not so bad if you felt villain could semi-bluff as he did.

yes i agree that is was early and i usually can wait for a better spot. but in these tournys i like to be aggressive at the beginning because its hard to be aggressive when there is 6 guys at your table with less than 10 M just pushin left and right. thats when the blinds really catch up to you. most of the hands i put him on made me ahead. i thought AK AQ AJ A10. 3 out of 4 hands im ahead of there but still have a chance to lose. if i knew a A was comin on the turn i would have folded. but villain here was a bit donkish.

oh ya.. i went on to finish 3rd in this one. haha =)
