Possibly a blocking bet for a draw he picked up (str or flush) or possibly 2 pr with 10-9. Such a weak small bet. Not exactly befitting of a LAG. Weak player? If strong player, I'd control the pot size.

He's either chasing or miles ahead with a set.

I interpret his bet as hyper-weak or hyper-strong.

Small bet on the turn sometimes means they want action and are too afraid to make a proper bet.

Or he thinks you were trying to rob the flop and wants to have a go himself and hasn't got the nerve to make a decent bet.

I can think of a good case for calling or raising here. If I think he's in any way a donk I raise. If I think he has capacity to be tricky I call and look to put as little in on the flop as possible.

fwiw my immediate interpretation of his bet was that it was him trying to steal the pot from me, probably thinking I'm just c-betting with ak/aq, or that it was a small blocking bet with a draw.

btw consider our stack size too - ~950 chips...

I was going to post essentially what Rex said^^^^^

But he brought up the main point of what stands out in that hand, and that's the small bet on the turn. It could be a small blocking bet, but what I have noticed lately (especially in the better players) is they will put in a small bet when they're strong hoping to induce a reraise. Usually the bet is a min bet or extremely small in comparison to the pot. But this is typically from strong, thinking players trying to get a aggressive player to overplay their hand.

A donk usually will make this bet and fold to a raise... so I guess I didn't answer any question did I?

Then I probably push and let the long run sort it out :)

Well I gotta agree with you guys, this is either a suck bet (one to induce action from me), a blocking bet or a weak bluff.

I get a lot of this kind of stuff from LAGs that try to push me off hands, with the thinking that I would have AK here and have to fold or just call and reveal my weakness, then he could push me off on the river.

My first thoughts in the hand were 'weak bet, prob flush draw, bluff or A9 or some crap. Push to protect your hand', and I didn't even consider that he'd be laying down a suck bet.

I pushed, he called with 33 for bottom set, I go busto.
