Villain has been on the same 3 or 4 tables I've been multitabling, and has been a little more aggressive than the average player. I've been TAG.

Is there any argument for a call here? How about one big enough to actually call?

I can't see it, even if the guy has pushed half a dozen hands in a row you are really gambling with a call. Any pair, any ace, any king and you are behind and you are only dominating Qx and Jx. I'm a big fan of only calling all ins when there's a chance (albeit sometimes a small one) of dominating coupled with a very small chance of being dominated.

Sorry Chuck can't make it work for me. That said my Turbo STT experience is zero so I may be misreading it :)

You're ahead of his range of ATC, but I like a fold here. Why risk it when you will have enough fold equity for a solid push later. If he limps, I can support moving in, but not without the first in vigorish.

k the suspense got to me [/sarcasm]

I'm actually the one who's doing the pushing, he's in the BB, and he ultimately called with his QJs. And quickly. He's actually a pretty solid player - though his reasoning in this hand doesn't show it.

I think my 'above-average' aggression must have been an understatement. I was on a card rush (on the four tables), but really was still not playing even close to LAG. There's absolutely no reason to call here.

First-in vig is the name of the game as skold said, and calling is just terrible. Hope villain doesn't see this post and learn from it:)

It's kind of funny, sometimes a seemingly small steal like this hand turns out to be the big turning point to send you into contention for 1st. Short stacks in turbos ain't nuttin. Well, in times aside from this one at least.

ok, super tired post-workday rant over.

8 or 9 BBs, only one player to go through, non-maniacal image - I'll push here most of the time Tim.

I know it may look crazy, but shortstacked play is all about first-in pushes. I'll actually push with a lot less here.

Have you read the HoH series? Should help tremendously with explaining situations like this.
