Hi all,

A couple of hands from my live STT last night. 12 players started with 2000 each (Extra 1500 given @1 hour in), blinds up every 15 mins, we're down to 3 players and we're relatively evenly matched skill wise...

I would estimate at this stage both villains are playing around 45/33.
Top two placed paid.

A couple of pre-flop decisions -
- Hand 1 I was tempted to play but had a very very good read that BB would go all in
- Hand 2 I was also tempted to play, but thought it fell outside the range that I should be playing

Interested to know your opinions...

Hand 1:
Blinds 1000/2000
Reads: BB is more or less certain to shove his hand

BU: 19,000
SB (Hero): 13,000
BB: 10,000

SB posts: 1000
BB posts: 2000
Hero is dealt: 6s6d

Pot: 3000
BU: Fold
SB:???

Hand 2
Blinds 1000/2000
Reads: None

BU (Hero): 10,000
SB:19,000
BB: 13,000

SB posts: 1000
BB posts: 2000
Hero is dealt: Ks8c

Pot: 3000
BU: ???

Hand #1, how much better of a spot can we hope for than this?

You feel that BB is going to snapcall because of a very very good read (I'm curious... what is it?). I can't find a fold here in this spot ever (unless I can see the reflection in his glasses showing AA... and am sure it's not A4 )

Thanks for all the input on this - with the pp I was just worried 2 overcards would basically make it a 50:50 split... but I think you're all right, after thinking about this I should have been shoving both hands...

The good read was that when he got his cards he made a very small nod and lifted all his chips up in one big stack - realizing it was then not his turn he put them back on the table but kept his hand over his stack, the cards were to one side as if they didn't matter he'd already made his mind up...

Thanks again for the input

More often than not in this spot the BB isn't even able to shove, because of the fact that you are all short. And normally almost every move is allin or fold, so in that case if button or you SB plays a hand its allin and his only option would be to call.
