should i have called that...there were several shortstacks right around 1k and i would have had 4k if i fold. It's only a 3 dollar tourney, so i really didnt care about 16th place for 5.92. Top 18 got payed, there were 19th left. In a tourney I'm playing to win or atleast a final table, not to sneak into the money. What would you have done, Oh the hand b4 i had AA, and a guy raised and i moved in from the SB and he folded. So what would you do there thanks?

You answered your own question. If you're playing to win and not just to stick around until a short stack busts, I believe it's correct to call. Chances are pretty decent you have the best hand here (unless you have some read that makes you think the other player MUST have aces or kings to make that move). Here I'd call and pray that my best hand holds up and I double through to have enough chips to make a real run at winning.

in general I would definitely make the same move that you did. Unless you have seen this guy be SUPER tight, and can put him on a hand that crushes you. But I think it was a good play. Did the A come?

Instacall when playing to win. Instafold if you are a weak chicken, that only cares about making 1st money position

yeah ace was first card off. 6 handed game....so that made my hand even better, this guy had 4k in prizes...with a -48 percent roi. And early was donking chips..tightened up as the money got closer. seeing he was short 2.

Easy call if your playing to win. If you win here, your in go shape to make a run at the final table.

I believe just like in live poker it goes the same with online poker. I always go with my gut and the way that person has been playing.

You made the right choice. If you don't care if you lose, just play it. It's a really good hand, and should win anyway, so just keep going with your gut!

AA, I'd have pushed it hard, especially because of the short stacks and the time. . .I agree with many that responded that you had a good hand, and that you should have just played it as hard as possible. I have found that confidence in your hand is important and often the key to responsible and productive betting in order to win the best hand.

With the situation you described, it's a very easy call. Would you be posting this if your hand held up?
