KQo is a trouble hand and it wouldn't be wrong to fold this to the raise pre-flop.

I'd probably bet a bit more strongly on the turn, mainly for value.

As played, on the river it would be a tough laydown. I don't see how you could put your opponent on some junk like K2. You didn't play it too badly... I'd call rather than raise the river though.

Every street is horrible.

Fold preflop.

Raise more on flop.

Push turn.

As played, call river.

Beginning of tourney. Amount of call PF not out of line for position and hand. But my mistake was the call by villian of 600 chips. I backed down there to limit chip loss and short circuited with the all in bet. I usually don't go all in unless I know I have it. Especially at the beginning of tourney.

Beginning of tourney = low blinds = no need to get involved in a raised pot with KQo. Three very likely scenarios are you missing and having to check-fold, you hitting TP but facing big action which suggests you're outkicked or worse and thus being faced with a tricky decision for a lot of your chips, or you hitting and everyone else missing and you winning a small pot.

There's absolutely no need to get involved with KQo early on. If it's folded to you in MP/LP, raising is reasonable, but calling a raise in the same position is generally not (read up on the Gap Concept ^^).

Yup, I'm in the fold preflop to raise at this point of a SnG, AK and AQ are too dangerous.

In LP I'll call and hope for something pretty on the flop and leave it otherwise.

Once you call and the KK hits, your chips are going in one way or another.

Karen, I think you played it just fine. I have no problem with the call withy KQ in late position. The only thing I can say is that with 2 callers on the turn, that bet was a little weak but I don't think it changed the outcome of the hand. Heather was going to call nomatter what. This was a freeroll after all. So you got busted by a FH. No shame in that.

KlitKat? PLEASE PM me the story behind that!!!:listen:

Sorry, it's an MTT, thought it was a SnG.

If it's an MTT then I'm totally on board with the call.

PF Call is a little loose, but not terrible with position.

Flop bet is a little small, even though not terrible, you want callers here. And your miles ahead of most likely holdings. Getting the donks to fold here is a disaster. You could argue the case of cold calling.

River call is also fine. Bad beat it happens.
