BTN stats after 24 hands: VPIP 17 PFR 8 Limp 7 and 3-bet 11

At this point in the tournament I had a C-bet 100 stat. Do you guys think that it's ok from me to check the flop? I don't think that against this player I can represent a good hand other then Ax if I C-bet. I think my range if quite wide since I have a 34 StealPct.

Preflop
Standard open.

Flop
This is a very dry "hit or miss" board, and depending on the opponent you can either check-call or make a small C-bet mainly for protection. Its important to understand, that even though you missed, you actually have the best hand a lot of the time. Not quite as much as, if you had AQ or AJ, but you still beat a lot of his hands, that missed, like A5, QJ and so on and so forth.

Turn
When he check back flop, you can make a small delayed C-bet here, still mostly for protection. Checking is also ok, but then its a check-call not a check-fold. If you think about his range and line, he is really saying, he has a slowplayed K or maybe 33. Those are his only hands, that take this line for value, and he can also have a flushdraw or just be taking a stab with absolutely nothing, because you have shown a lot of weakness by checking twice. So even though you will mostly fold, if he bomb the river, its important to not give up this easy with a hand, that is still best a lot of the time.

Against this particular player I believe we are dominated as soon as he calls the raise (pocket pairs and higher aces and broadways including a king)
So give up and conserve your stack I believe is the wisest choice. Especially on this flop texture where you cant represent much.

Agree that a 1/4 pot C-bet is ok for hit/miss boards like anything with a pair on the flop.

Also agree that the delayed C-bet (also 1/4) is a good strategy.
