Pocket pairs, 77-TT + AQ/J, faced with a raise, roughly 30 to 40 big blinds effective; If you 3bet, are you only doing this with intension to call a shove?

Are we mainly calling/folding most of the time?

With 30-40 BB effective those hands are usually either a call or a 3-bet with intention to fold to a 4-bet jam. It does depend on positions though. Stack-off ranges are wider in a late position configuration like blind vs. blind or BTN vs. SB.

30 to 40 BB deep. I am happy to 3bet here but calling a 4bet jam especially at 40BB with those hand you suggest is not so advisable for the most part. Most players 40BB deep are only jaming bigger pairs and AK. Yes you may get somone who will have AQ but your not beating them so why gamble that deep.
