I don't think you should be calling here. In the early stages of these SnGs you need to be playing mostly tight. I definitely approve of trying to see a flop cheap with 44 though.

Definite fold here.

you need to be aware of the short stacks when they are yet to act after you, then limping is a bad idea, if the shorty had already folded or was just insanely passive then limping would have been fine in this hand.

no, you can't call.
